Placement Papers - Tata Motors

Tata Motors had started its selection process on December 1, 2014. They had taken an aptitude test which was conducted by AMCAT. The written test was easy and contained 4 sections, quantitative, verbal, technical and logical reasoning, there was no negative marking, and questions appeared only once in the screen, there was no option of switching back to the previous question.

Tata Motors had visited our campus on December 6, 2014. They had a 30 minutes PPT. Then, they announced the result of the selected candidate for interview, out of 15 students, they had selected only 8, out of which 7 got placed.

After the PPT session, the interview had been started. I was the first candidate to be interviewed. The panel consisted of three members 1 HR and 2 technical. The interview started with the same traditional question, "Why do you want to join the company?" Then, they asked me questions related to manufacturing. After that, we had a long discussion about my project and intern. Since I was a member of SAE India, they asked me a few questions regarding my contribution.

Overall, I answered the question satisfactorily, but I also consider that I was unable to impress them, sometimes your luck plays a big role. So, never lose a hope, anything can happen in interviews, and always be optimistic.
