SAP Labs visited our campus for the \'associate\' position.

Salary: 8.25l pa.

Eligibility: B.Tech (CS/IT/ECE) 70% and above.

Whole procedure consisted of,

* 1 Written test.
* 5 Interviews.

Written test: 90 mins (no calculator allowed).

Consisted of following sections: (106 questions total).

1) Psychometry (60 questions)
2) Quantitative Aptitude.
3) Logical Reasoning.
4) Computer science.
5) Verbal ability.
6) 2 Programs.

Aptitude, Logical, Verbal were general questions. There was too less time to even read the questions.

Computer science consisted mainly of DBMS, OS and Output questions in C/C++.

There were two programs, out of which at least one should run, for you to clear the exam

Q1. We had to design a street, according to some constraints. (40 marks)
Q2. Find sum of digits.

Eg: input: 15

Output: 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+1+2+3+4+5+6
10=1+0=1
11=1+1=2
....

In this round out of 200, 25 students got shortlisted.

Interview I:

We had to design a vending machine and give its business requirements.

Interview II:

(Technical Interview)

Q. Can we run a C program without main()?
Q. Features of C++.
Q. What is abstract class and normal class?
Q. Write a program to insert a node into linklist ?
Q. What is short term scheduler?
Q. What is agile model of SDLC?
Q. Waterfall model SDLC.
Q. Disk scheduling (OS).
Q. What is requirement traceability matrix?
Q. Questions on project?
Q. What is the most difficult code you have ever run?
Q. What innovative you have done in CS?
Q. 25 Horses puzzle.

Let\'s say that you have 25 Horses, and you want to pick the fastest 3 horses out of those 25. In each race, only 5 horses can run at the same time because there are only 5 tracks. What is the minimum number of races required to find the 3 fastest horses without using a stopwatch?

Q: 5 pirates of different ages have a treasure of 100 gold coins.

On their ship, they decide to split the coins using this scheme:

The oldest pirate proposes how to share the coins, and ALL pirates (including the oldest) vote for or against it.

If 50% or more of the pirates vote for it, then the coins will be shared that way. Otherwise, the pirate proposing the scheme will be thrown overboard, and the process is repeated with the pirates that remain.

As pirates tend to be a bloodthirsty bunch, if a pirate would get the same number of coins if he voted for or against a proposal, he will vote against so that the pirate who proposed the plan will be thrown overboard.

Assuming that all 5 pirates are intelligent, rational, greedy, and do not wish to die, (and are rather good at math for pirates) what will happen?

And many more. I dont remember.

Interview III:

He asked mainly DBMS.

Q. What are different types of join?
Q. How will you create a table from an existing one (Ans: using select into SQL command)
Q. DDL, DML, DQL.
Q. Primary key, Foreign key (SQL queries).
Q. On delete cascade.
Q. Views in DBMS.
Q. Database design for ATM/Bank.

And in programming.

He asked,

Q. Difference between C/C++.

And rest i don\'t remember.

Interview IV:

It was managerial round,

I was part of the dramatics society of my college. So he asked about that about my family and stuff.

interview V:

It was HR round.

He asked about,

* SAP labs.
* My family.
* My failure.
* How will I face contradictions.
* Strength.
* Weakness.

Finally 8 people cleared all the 5 interviews.

As SAP tradition, they didn\'t take us out on dinner, but they ordered pizza on campus, and we all enjoyed. :)

Only advice: Give your best, when you come back home, you should not think " i wish " " may be ".

Just give your best.

All the best :)
