SAIL MT (CS) 2015 GD & Interview Experience : (07/08/2015) @ Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
GD- 10 members in the group. SAIL GD consists of 3 parts- Group Discussion on given topic, Case Study, Priority Arrangement of solutions of given problem.
GD topic: "Should each PSU fund 10 national sportsmen so that India can excel in International Competitions like Olympic"?
Case Study: Different ways to attract tourism towards India was given, and you have to choose one which is most effective and give reasons to support your choice.
Priority Arrangement: 9 possible ways were given to eradicate illiteracy from India and you have to arrange them in order so that the most important according to you is your choice no. 1.
Total time: 2 hours.
Interview: 4 Member Panel - 1 Tech, 1 HR, 1 SAIL Personnel, 1 Psychiatrist (3 Male, 1 Female).
HR Part:
* Where are you from?
* When did you reach Chennai? By which mode of transportation?
* Name 5 important train stations between Your Home town and Chennai (I was really puzzled after hearing this question ;P).
* Where is your Native Place?
* Who is the present VC of your College?
* What co-curricular activities you have participated in your college?
* What were you doing for the last 1 year after passing out from your college?
Technical Part:
* Explain your project.
* They asked numerous questions related to the project.
* What Data Structures do you know?
* Explain Stack Data Structure.
* What are practical purposes of stack.
* Explain Binary Tree.
* What is an AVL Tree?
* Prim's vs Kruskal Algorithm.
Thank You for coming. I also greeted them and left the Interview Room. So, total Interview time was around 20-25 minutes. It went really well. Everybody asked questions one by one. Whole process took 5 hours. At last, I was sure of my selection. Written: GD: PI ratio = 75:10:15.
SAIL Final Results: 10/09/2015. I was one of the 5 selected candidates :).
