Hello, SAIL aspirants!

I am an Electrical student studying at JNTUHCEH, Hyderabad. I am going to share with you the syllabus and probably some important tips for preparing SAIL exams conducted annually in the month of May for a maximum marks of 200. Start preparation 15 days before the scheduled exam date.

I wrote the exam recently and found it a good measurement to scale one's knowledge, accuracy and speed in approaching problems. So coming to the syllabus for the EEE domain the following are important subjects to focus on. 100 Marks in 75 Minutes.

# Signals and systems (energy density, aliasing effect, sampling frequency).
# Electrical machines (inductance machines-slip cal, losses etc.).
# Power systems (inductance calc, effect of earth on C).
# Power electronics (average value, RMS value etc.).
# Electronic measurements (no of comparators needed in a counter type ADC of 3-bit type, oscilloscope).
# Digital electronics (easy pro on basic gates).

Now moving to second section. 100 MARKS IN 75 MINUTES. It consists of 4 sub-sections viz.,
1) General awareness (if you study it seems easy so better prepare for it. Ex ques: Mostly current affairs such as sports (6 questions), UN related (3 questions), book and authors, day and its importance, recent news highlights).

2) Verbal aptitude (sequence ordering, synonyms, correct the sentence, choose the appropriate word etc.).

3) Quantitative aptitude (focus on age, time & work, stocks (4 questions), Simple interest, Compound interest, partnership, calendar etc.).

4) Reasoning (conclusion and statements, venn diagram related, circle and linear arrangement, sets etc.).

I hope this might help you. So prepare with dedication and don't waste time in solving difficult problems. Success in such exams depends on speed, accuracy and memory. Anyway, I am waiting for my result which will be displayed after one month. I hope that after writing your SAIL exam you will also share your experience.

THANK YOU FOR READING!
ALL THE BEST.
