The Online Test was of 1 hour duration 30 questions from Aptitude and 50 questions from technical. Aptitude section was from average to tough. Consists of Quant from Time and work, Time and distance, age, Race and Game of Skills, Errors and Measurements, Verbal Analogies, Idioms and Phrases, Error Finding, Short Passages. Technical Section Consists of some very basic questions from Chemical Engineering. I advise to go through IndiaBix for Technical Part (FM, HT, MT, CRE) and apti as well. Mug up all the idioms and phrases given in IndiaBix and technical Portion too. It will be handy at the final day, Because 50 questions from 30 mins You can understand what must be your speed.
We were offered two profiles business and Manufacturing. I chose Manufacturing.
In business they had GD and two rounds. YOU CAN NOT OPT FOR BOTH LIKE GOING FOR MANUFACTURING AFTER BEING REJECTED FROM BUSINESS WAS NOT ALLOWED.
For interview we had two rounds Technical and HR, go through some very concepts like pressure its units and significance. Pump curves, and another important thing is that you must be well versed with your industrial Summer Projects, they definitely ask questions from that side. They also sometimes ask the designing of Distillation column, its different parameter effects, problems, Pressure Drops in each case like Weeping, dumping, Flooding. Also go through the basics of Heat Exchanger Tube Layout, Pitch. Problems in heat exchanger. Remember they ask you this questions in a twisted manner. All and all you must know everything from your projects its flowsheets, Equations, Aim, What you have Learnt.
The HR consists of routine questions like tell me about yourself, Strength, Weakness, Of course they make you fill this info. In Personal Info. Form. Your Summer Industrial Experience, What have your realised, What you didn't like.
In both Rounds the last question was "any question you want to ask", For this go through the ppt very carefully and either ask question from the ppt or any question you had in mind about your career. Treat the interview as a conversation and use that chance to the fullest like even if you are selected you can learn from that part.
Result was declared 20 mins after my HR round and I was selected.
