Hi friends, I am Amit I have attended the Quinnox test in Quinnox there are 4 sections no negative marking and no sectional cutoff each section is of 15 marks.
The sections are,
1. Quantitative aptitude.
2. Logical reasoning.
3. Technical section.
4. English.
In the first section, the questions are.
1) A jogger running at 9 kmph alongside a railway track in 240 metres ahead of the engine of a 120 metres long train running at 45 kmph in the same direction. In how much time will the train pass the jogger?
A. 3. 6 sec B. 18 sec.
C. 36 sec D. 72 sec.
2) If 6 men and 8 boys can do a piece of work in 10 days while 26 men and 48 boys can do the same in 2 days, the time taken by 15 men and 20 boys to do the same type of work will be:
A. 4 days B. 5 days.
C. 6 days D. 7 days.
3) A person's present age is two-fifths of the age of his mother. After 8 years, he will be one-half of the age of his mother. How old is the mother at present?
A. 32 years B. 36 years.
C. 40 years D. 48 years.
4) In a group of 6 boys and 4 girls, four children are to be selected. In how many different ways can they be selected such that at least one boy should be there?
A. 159 B. 194.
C. 205 D. 209.
E. None of these.
5) If 6th March 2005 is Monday, what was the day of the week on 6th March 2004?
A. Sunday B. Saturday.
C. Tuesday D. Wednesday.
6) A milk vendor has 2 cans of milk. The first contains 25% water and the rest milk. The second contains 50% water. How much milk should he mix from each of the containers so as to get 12 litres of milk such that the ratio of water to milk is 3:5?
A. 4 litres, 8 litres. B. 6 litres, 6 litres.
C. 5 litres, 7 litres. D. 7 litres, 5 litres.
7) How much does a watch lose per day, if its hands coincide every 64 minutes?
A. 32+ (8/11) B. 32+ (5/11).
C. 90 minutes. D. 96 minutes.
8. In the race 1/5 of people are before me equals to 5/6 of people behind me then how many people in the race?
A. 31. B 60.
Options are like this and another on series completion. Logical reasoning section is easy. In the technical section, most of the questions are on code conversion like decimal to binary hexadecimal, octal, bae 7, 16'th complement 75-57=? in binary.
Which device is used to connect two types of networks?
What is Baud rate?
Server is used to__? etc.,
And in English questions on synonyms, statement rearrangement,
And questions like if food: garment:
