PRDC has initially two to three rounds of interviews. First stage is paper based test. Paper based test consists of 100 questions of 1 mark each and time allotted is 100 minutes. No negative marking.
The paper consists of three modules. Software, Electrical and Aptitude, 30 software 30 electrical and 40 aptitude. Some of the electrical question's I have listed down below.
1. Type of test on Isolater?
2. Ideal DC generator has__ regulation.
3. Sequence in which isolator, CB and earthing switch are operated?
4. Structure of rotor of synchronous generator? (salient or non).
5. Ybus matrix is a __ matrix?
6. Where does the following condition happen in 3 phase fault and 1 phase fault? (position in power system).
7. Given F=500Hz and L=500km which type of TL is it modeled as?
8. Application of Bucholz relay?
9. Usually synchronous motors have P.F of?
10. Material used in controlling chain reaction in Nuclear power plant?
11. If voltage controlled bus is treated as load bus, which of the limit is violated? (Q).
12. Tidal energy make use of?
13. Solar cell made of?
14. With same maximum voltage to earth which AC system (p. F 0. 8) will require more copper as compared to DC 2 wire system?
