Pole to Win is a gaming company and the position was for Software Test Engineer/Game Test Engineer. The process took one week. If you are are gamer and have knowledge of software testing you can easily clear the interview. Since I am a pro gamer and I had done my Software testing course from an institute I got this opportunity.

There were 5 rounds.

1. GD were you have to speak about the games you have played and your favourite games, you need to mention the details of the game which includes the game developers, publishers, year of release, game play, etc.

2. Essay Writing - here we need to list the games we have played in the application, and HR will ask you to write 500 words essay on any game randomly from what you have mentioned. (you need to mention the details of the game which includes the game developers, publishers, year of release, game play, etc).

3. Verbal written test - Here a question paper containing 45 questions will be given, which includes fill in the blanks with proper words, tenses, passive and active voice and small passage. The passing mark was set for 28. This round was very easy, they asked very simple questions. If you are weak in English just prepare well on those topics.

4. Face to Face - I went inside and the interviewer asked me to sit, he went through my application and asked " You have played Skyrim?".

Me: Yes Sir, I am a pro gamer I have played Skyrim.
Interviewer: Ok, you have mentioned that you have done testing on Skyrim. What kind of bugs did you find?
Me: I explained some bugs as he was listening.

Interviewer: Ok good, Tell me some cars that come in Need for Speed.
Me: Told around 10.

Interviewer: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Me: I want to be a successful software test engineer, I want to gain lot of experience by utilizing my software testing skills and be part of our companies success in the coming years.

While I was answering him, he said "I am very much impressed by the way you answered, I am sending you through, when you join the company you will be asked to test a game you should be able to test it or you will be asked to play a game. And explained few details about the job position. He gave a shake hand and told me to wait outside.
*For non-gamers he asked questions on software testing.

5. Written Test - I cleared the 4th round, and this round contains 80% of questions on games (mainly PC games) and 20% logical questions, if you are a mobile gamer your chances of clearing this round is less. There were 28 questions, max mark was 160, passing was 80. The first 10 questions included Logical Symbols, then identifying the 15 changes in the image (2 images are given), matching the following on games and their publishers (10 games), list 3 game publishers, list all need for speed games, the image of different genres of games where you should identify the genres and the game name. Last explain your favourite game and its game play in 1500 words.

I cleared all these rounds with ease. If you are a gamer you can clear this. For those who don't play PC games, please prepare on the need for speed, counter counter strike, because most of the questions will be on these games and 2-3 famous PC games like Assassin's Creed etc mug them from Wikipedia and tell them. You can clear the rounds. Be confident, be cool. All the best, hope you find this useful.
