There are four rounds for ME campus placement for the post of Software Engineer.
1) Aptitude Test.
2) Technical Interview 1.
3) Technical Interview 2.
4) HR.
1) Aptitude Test (60 objective questions, 1 Program and 1 Essay).
There are questions on C Programming, Software Testing, Computer Networks, Operating Systems, few quantitative problems. Quite easy. They have asked to write a program to count indents in a C Source file using C. The Essay was on "The most serious problem in India". I have written about corruption. Presents why it is problem, its effect on development and some suggestions for improvement.
2) Technical interview.
Q. Tell me about yourself.
Told.
Q. Write down the program for the link list.
Written.
Q. Ask to write a program to sort the above written link list.
Written.
Q. Ask to explain sorting.
Told.
Q. Ask to find the complexity of my written program.
Told.
Q. Ask questions about OSI Network layers and protocols.
Told.
Q. What is black box and white box testing?
Told.
Q. Also ask some questions on testing.
I gave answers for some and for others gave some approximate answers.
Q. Ask questions about joining.
Told.
Q. Ask to write some SQL queries.
Written.
Q. Ask about some questions on my projects.
Told.
Q. Ask to write a program to retrieve values from the database using JDBC and ask to explain line by line.
Done with interview It was 1 hour session. I have them some questions about persistent Big data analytics. They ask me to wait for the result. After five minutes HR person called me for an HR interview directly no II technical.
3) HR INTERVIEW.

Q. Ask about hobbies.
Told.
Q. They told me about the Persistent procedure for joining.
Q. They give me a Persistent System form and ask me to fill it and join location Preference and technology preference.
They told me that our college TPO will get mail about selection. After 4 days they declared the result.
I got selected.
