PEROT SYSTEM ( PS ) PAPER
( Held on 20th july 2004 )
Written test pattern also included algorithms and the flowcharts with
other old tests
Ist test
There were questions which were time consuming especially flowchart
and algorithms part . Attempt the other questions which r less time
consuming . For the test prepare "Arithmetic reasoning" by RS Agarwal
especially chapters - time and distance , time and work . Trains and
boats upstream and down stream question .
IInd test (English)
This test was eas , 2 out of 4 options eliminates as such, but take care in rest two options.the questions were general english question - fit the best.
but dont look at options first.read the question and try to figure out urself what would be best possible answer and then look at choices.
3rd test
c/c++ -u can choose. if u r good in c++ then choose it bec c is very tough which damn bad questions on bitwise operators. but for c++ u may know the concepts of exception handing(if u know java\'s it will do)
Interview
The questions they asked from me & the paper i got:
-> favorite sub I said C
-> signature of printf statement
-> swap 2 no.s without third -
ans
a==a^b
b==a^b
a==a^b
write a prog to insert a node in link list (using malloc) & one more prog which i forgot.
1-2 output questions in c .
what r datastructures, use of os,what is kernel, what is logical
address & who generates it,what r frames, mathematical puzzles (also do basic
probability-very basic).
ab my projects and how much sql i used.i knew they kill u on databases
so i told him that i used very basic queries involving select
statements.
-> recursion prgs- fib series and factorial
-> bubble sort
-> where v use bubble sort
also prepare OS,DS,S/w -life cycle and testing, Database
they dont ask in deep, but ask basic concepts.
if u write sql in ur resume -then know it very well.
