Hello every one...
Patni computers conducted placement drive in sathyabama university,chennai on 19th march 2010.There were over 1300 students appeared for the written test.The eligibility was 60% in 10th+2 and graduation with out any standing arrears. The test was simple with 40 questions to be completed in 60 mins. There was no quantitative apps,only reasoning questions..the questions were based on
1. Relationships
2. Complete the series
3. Cubes (Reasoning)
4. There were many ques based on statement questions like
a says " "
b says" "
c says " "
Asked to find out who said the truth.model of ques may vary.
5.passage was given and 5 ques were bases on that
6.sentence correction was there (3 to 4 ques)
A sentence was given and it was divided into parts asked to find out which part contains error. Study the R.S Aggarwal reasoning book that will be more than enough. We started the test on 11 am and it ended at 12 p.m and then we were asked to have lunch .the results were announced at 3 p.m 392 out of 1300 cleared the written test and I was one among them. After sometime selected students were given a sheet of paper and asked to fill up detail about themselves.
And then we were given a type of argument it was a long paragraph i can only remember the gist of it " government decision to make 10th board exam optional was right or wrong " and we were asked to write an email on that expressing our views.
THERE IS NO GD.
After sometime we were asked to appear for personal interview. i waited the whole day but my turn didn\'t came and we were asked to leave at 10.30 in the night
and were told to come again tom (20th march) for HR. Even the next day i waited long and my turn came at around 3 p.m. in evening. I went inside he asked me to take the seat.and then he asked me to introduce my self and i did. And he asked me questions about the email (Argument) and asked whether i am supporting or not,and if i am why and i had to express my opinion, Be clear in your view and express ur idea without any hesitation. They mainly check ur communication skills. HR didn\'t even touch my resume,and for me there were no tech questions. we just had a friendly chat.
And then he asked me" Why Patni" What do u know about Patni etc. And then he asked me to ask him a question. And that\'s all my interview was over. The results came around 7 p.m. I was one to be selected by the Patni and now i am Patniiiiiite. Be Patient, Calm, Confident. You will surely get through the test and interview.
