Hi everyone.
I am from the ECE dept. Open Stream Technologies conducted a pool campus drive on July 4th, 2014 at Sapthagiri College of Engineering. I would like to share my experience which will help you to get through Openstream.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
There were 3 rounds namely:
1. Offline aptitude test. (Quantitative and Technical aptitude).
2. Technical interview.
3. HR interview.
The quantitative Aptitude test was Easy.
Technical aptitude was a little bit tough, there were four sections in the technical aptitude paper, the first section on databases, the second on C, C++ and Java, the third section on some programming, the fourth section on my core subjects like op-amps, digital electronics, micro-controller, microprocessor. (Time may be one and a half hours).
I cleared the first round.
Technical interviews were not easier, This round is the elimination round so be careful, mainly interviewer checks your programming ability and logical thinking, so mainly concentrate on programming.
The following questions were asked in the technical round.
1) Tell me something about yourself.
2) Write a c program to compare two strings without using a library function.
3) Write a c program to reverse a string without using a library function.
4) Write a c program to transpose a 6*6 matrix.
5) Write a c program to concatenate two strings without using the library function.
6) Some questions from OS, Networking, Digital Electronics, and Analog Electronics.
Amps, Micro-controller, Microprocessor, Wireless communication (mainly on CDMA, FDMA AND GSM technologies).
7) What are structure and union and the differences between them?
8) Write an architecture of the 8086 microprocessor.
9) What is the difference between Microcontroller and Microprocessor?
10) What is the difference between CDMA, FDMA AND GSM TECHNOLOGIES?
11) What is the difference between C, C++, and Java?
12) What is your favourite subject? (asked many questions about that subject).
13) What was your final year project? (asked many questions from that).
The technical round is the elimination round, many of my friends got rejected in the technical round, I cleared the technical round, and they sent for an HR interview. In HR, Just basic questions like Why open stream? Self-intro, and asked some C programs, about academic projects and some logical related questions.
2 days later they mailed the results and they selected only 2 from my college and I was one of them. Had felt so happy. They take marks from all rounds and shortlist the candidates.
I suggest you guys brush up on C, C++ and Java.
I hope this helps you guys. Remember always be confident and say everything with a smile. Keep a positive attitude. That's one of the most important things that the interviewers are looking for.
Best of luck, guys! Do well!
