My interview experience:

NTT Data held an off-campus interview of us. Firstly written test was conducted in our college itself. Out of 700, 80 of us cleared written. We all know the Amcat pattern. Basics in C, DS, a little knowledge on verbal part and grip in aptitude makes anyone to clear the written.

Later we went for RVR & JC College in Guntur to attend the selection procedure. PPT was given initially. I am surprised to know the company profile, (especially revenue of NTT group, which equals our state budget). After PPT, we went to attend GD as per pre-divided batches. GD selection and elimination also depend on our panel sir.

Some will eliminate 5 out of 15 and for some the number rises to 10 or 11 even! Topics for us was the pros and cons of our college. Everyone who spoke even one or two points were selected. In our batch, 10 members were selected. Within 10 minutes after GD, I was called for a technical round. The questions asked were.

1. Tell me about yourself (don't stop until you were asked to. Also explain about your projects if you get a chance).
2. Program for printing 1 to 100 prime numbers.
3. What are queues and stalks?
4. As I from EEE, what are star and delta connections, and where do you use it.
5. What type of connections are used in motors, and transformers and why?
6. Why the top hole of 3 pin plug has more width than other two pins?
7. How will you measure the resistance of a device with using Ohm meter?

Answered 5 to 6 correctly from above 7 questions. Within 15 minutes we got the results of the technical round. Members who cleared were sent to another hall.

HR was started after lunch. The funniest part is facing technical questions from C in the HR round. The questions asked to me were:

1. Did you write great? (I said no but in fact yes).
2. HR: Why.
3. Why IT?
4. You are from EEE, why can't to prefer core jobs?
5. What is compiler.
6. What is interpreter.
7. What is the difference between while loop and a for loop?

Answered many of them with confidence. But they announced the results of everyone except 6 of us. They didn't even said that they kept us on hold. Everyone who was shortlisted sent to one side of the room, those who are rejected has left the hall. But I and 4 others said nothing. After waiting for an hour they started giving offer letters. If our name was present then we are IN! luckily 3 out of 4 of us were selected.
