Hello friends, I am Srujana and want to share my selection process at NTT DATA. This company select the candidates through AMCAT EXAM, the shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, the rounds of interviews are,

1) Online AMCAT exam.
2) Group discussion (GD).
3) Personal interaction.
4) Technical interview.
5) HR.

The AMCAT score is very important, you must prepare all the topics in aptitude, most important topics are percentages, ratios, ages, profit and loss, work, permutations and combinations, the probability is most important, in verbal coding-decoding, number series, directions, etc and in English tenses, synonyms, active and passive voice, etc.

Apart from these, you have to take 2 subjective modules, friends, please choose 1 module as computer programming and another as your core subject. The next round was GD. All they seek is your good participation in the GD, good communication skills and confidence.

The third round was personal interaction. The round went well for me. The interviewer may ask any question about your resume. Again here they see your communication, presence of mind and confidence.

4th round was a technical interview, here they stressed most on the software technologies for IT/CSE depts they asked very technically, and other electronics depts they asked questions about C, C++, and the skills mentioned in the resume and about the academic project.

In the technical interview they will check how far you can think about any problem and your way of trying, I suggest you to be through with the important topics in your core subjects and as well as the software subjects which you are opting. As I was from the EIE department I mentioned C and SQL (I learned personally) in my resume, and they asked me about my project, a few familiar programs (Fibonacci series, swapping etc.) basics in SQL (views, normalization etc.) and basics in digital electronics.

My suggestion for a technical interview is even if you don't know the answer try to explain how it works and how you will try. The final round was HR, NTT DATA HR's are very cool, they make you very comfortable, so no need to be tense, the questions they asked me are

1) Tell me about yourself.
Ans) Told.

2) About your family.
Ans) Told.

3) About my NCC participation (as I mentioned in my resume).
Ans) Told.

4) "As you are from the EIE dept then why did you choose the software field"?
Ans) Told.

Friends if you are also from a different department like mine and trying to get a software job then keep good reason for this question.

5) Do you have any questions for me?
Ans) I said yes and asked a question (please tell me where I have to improve before joining).

The HR was impressed for my confidence and you know the result and I am placed, here again always be ready to ask questions. Friends, don't panic or tense, be cool, of course everyone will have tension but just be confident and don't compare yourself with others, give your best.
