NTT DATA Interview Experience - HYDERABAD BVRIT, JANUARY 3 2015

Hi, all I attended the NTT interview which was held in our campus. The selection process is as follows.
1. Written exam (Amcat exam).
The exam consists of quantitative, verbal, and reasoning sections respectively. Good practice of previous papers will help you to clear the test.
2. Interview process.
I have also cleared the written exam, 75/150 have cleared the written exam in our college. The written exam results were announced after 2 days of the completion of the written exam. The interview was scheduled on Jan 3, after the pre-placement talk we were divided into batches and were allotted batch numbers and were made to sit in the respective rooms for the group discussion.
Each group consisted of 7-8 members and for our group the topic given was "EDUCATION SYSTEM IN INDIA". The time given for this discussion was around 10-12 minutes. Make sure that you speak confidently. After the completion of GD the results were announced on the spot, around 4 students including me cleared the GD. Immediately we were made to move for the technical round.
For me technical round lasted for about 30-40 minutes. The person who was interviewing me was a cool person and the interview went on like this.
Me: Good morning sir.
HR: Good morning, please take your seat.
HR: Tell me about yourself.
Me: Told about hobbies, interests etc.
HR: Explain about your mini project which you have undertaken.
Me: Told.
HR: What is OLED technology?
Me: Told.
HR: What is multi-threading?
Me: I could give him appropriate answer but not the exact answer and he was fine with it.
HR: What are quad core, dual core processors and why do they use them.
Me: I explained him from processors and then told the answer.
HR: What do you understand by pre-emptive scheduling?
Me: I didn't know about this as I was basically an ECE student but I tried to talk something about it.
HR: I'm done with the interview do you have any questions for me?
Me: How is your experience with NTT?
HR: He told about his journey in the company.
The results were announced in a swift, the minute I stepped out of the room, a guy came, informing me that I was shortlisted for the HR round I was very happy. After the lunch which was for an hour, the HR round started, and many people by now were eliminated. The HR round went on like this.
Me: Good afternoon sir.
HR: Good afternoon, please take your seat.
HR: Tell me about yourself.
Me: Told.
HR: Tell me more about your hobbies.
Me: Told.
HR: Tell me about your project which you have done.
Me: Told.
HR: Do you have any questions for me?
Me: No.
The moment I left the room, I came to know that I was shortlisted, I felt very happy. Later then I came to know that 14 students have been selected for the NTT DATA. All I intend to say is that never lose hope and keep on trying.
