Hi friends, I am from ECE background, and I would like to share my interview experience in NTT data.
Selection Process (4 rounds):
1. Written exam through AMCAT.
2. GD.
3. TR.
4. HR.
In my college, I have taken AMCAT exam. You Have to prepare for our core as well as 'C' Language. Out of 450 students 40 shortlisted, and I am one among them, but at least 6 students selected from our college. Through my score I have shortlisted for the further rounds. They told us to attend the interview in Bangalore. There are 150 students from different colleges. They started with the Presentation, after that we have GD with batch numbers. They taken us to their respective rooms. Topic given to us is "Mobile phones advantages/disadvantages". HR given us a chance for everyone. After a few minutes, he told to speak whatever your interested topic. I have spoken twice. All of them in our batch had spoken well. At last he told he had selected all. All of them were very happy about it.
Within a few minutes there is TR, and he called me.
TR: Tell me about yourself?
Me: Answered.
TR: Which Languages you know?
Me: 'C 'language sir.
TR: Ok, write swapping program without using 3rd variable?
Me: Written and explained.
TR: Ok, write binary search program?
Me: Written and explained.
TR: What is Transistor, types, Different Configurations, Resistor, Inductance and units?
Me: Explained and Drawn the circuits.
TR: Whats your plan for the project?
Me: I have done a mini project sir.
TR: Can you draw circuit and explain?
Me: I explained.
TR: Using 5 zeros you should get 120, you can use any mathematical operations.
Me: Within a few seconds, I have given answer.
TR: Ok, if I give you 10 grams, amoung that one is less than 1 gram, I will give you balance how you come to know which is false weight?
Me: I will keep on both sides equally 1-1, 2-2. If it is equal there is no false weight in that, where there is change it will be a false weight.
TR: Puzzle on measuring the litres in a jar?
Me: I didn't got the question, something I have explained. He skipped that question.
TR: Program on Binary search and Fibonacci series?
Me: Written and explained.
TR: Tell me about NTT.
Me: I don't know anything about it. Somehow I managed which was in presentation.
TR: Diode, semiconductor?
Me: Told.
TR: Ok, you can go, wait for 2 minutes.
Me: He told me to take lunch and come again after 30 minutes, I was selected for HR round.
Waited for a long time nearly 2 hours. HR called me.
HR: You are from?
Me: Told.
HR: Can you say your percentages in your graduation?
Me: To be frank, I don't know correctly. I have said something, he will never check it is correct are not. He will check our confidence.
HR: Why I should Hire you?
Me: I am innovative.
HR: Can you give a example?
Me: From inter to Btech there is new subjects like C, drawing and electronics.
HR: Draw the circuit for the emitter follower.
Me: Drawn.
HR: Ok leave it, tell me about your project?
Me: Told.
HR: Are you good at maths?
Me: Yes sir.
HR: He given the question from his mobile, that is an aptitude question it is on ages.
Me: Got answer and told.
HR: Can you explain?
Me: Explained.
HR: Tell me about your family.
Me: Told.
HR: Are you relocating?
Me: Yes sir.
HR: Go and wait in the seminar hall.
Me: Ok, thank you sir.
They told us to wait in seminar hall who have completed their HR. We waited, they whole team came to seminar hall with offer letters. They told 45 got selected out of 51 in HR. They rejected 6 members in HR. They called the names college wise. At last our college, from 39-45 our college students. 45th name is mine. I'm very lucky to have a last name. They have given offers letters for all and they have taken pictures of the 45 students and they told to wait for 5 minutes, there is excitement. They got the pictures and shown to us. All the members who were selected felt so happy. Ok, you can go we will send you call letters.
One thing to say for you, be confident surely all of them will get the Jobs. I have attended 9 companies at 10th company I got selected. (so, never loose your confidence).
