Initially, there was a written exam conducted by amcat, which was of moderate difficulty and shortlisted candidates were given a presentation on NTT Data. After the presentation the day went like:
I) Group discussion: They gauge your communication skills, only point to watch out is don't turn the GD into a debate, and keep in mind your performance in each of level is forwarded to further levels and this can be a plus if your performance is satisfactory.
II) Technical Interviews: It depends, I am from IT, they asked me about java oops concepts, lightly touched about collections and coming to programming they asked me to print today's date, i.e. using calendar object and the same in SQL. Few of my friends faced questions from unix for a whooping 30 minutes so it all depends, if you're from ECE or EEE get ready to face questions on core and also basic programs from arrays, strings, certain numerical operations etc.
III) MR Round: There is a huge difference from other companies[service] where further rounds are just formality, here this is a elimination round, questions from technical, behavioral and puzzles were asked.
My suggestions are.
Firstly, be confident through out, when I say confident yes its CONFIDENCE, that brings you a great chance of converting the chance.
Second, facing technical interview, answer crisply and fluently and coming to writing a program don't try bluff them by writing certain functions if you don't know the exact code, they definitely ask you for it if it's significant and you'll get caught, so for a significant piece of code, no bluffing, give it a try, if you're not comfortable writing code, ask their permission and explain the logic and then proceed.
