Placement Papers - Newgen

Hi Guys. Newgen Software Visited our campus on 14th Oct 2015, where 233 students appeared for an online aptitude test. The Test was of good level, it had 3 sections consisting of quantitative, verbal and technical.

Quantitative and Verbal were okay. Above average kinda but the Technical was really challenging; it had questions on OS (paging, segmentation Faults etc.) and 2 questions on Networking (Theoretical ones) and rest was on Outputs mainly in C and C++, along with data structure questions (on sorting etc. ), and Quantitative had common questions on data interpretation, probability and P&C, etc. And English was pretty easy. So, After this round 69 students made it through to the next round.

The Psychometric test. It wasn't much hard just common behavioral questions but surprisingly 26 guys got eliminated here too, so rest 43 were interviewed next day. My interview kicked off with an output question on C, which was on loops after that he gave me two puzzles to solve which I took my time and solved one of them (he was giving me hints between), he asked me to write a program to remove duplicate elements from an array and then few questions on OOP.

Then After a long wait, call for the HR interview came. He was a nice guy, asked the typical HR and a few behavioral questions. Finally, the results were declared at the end of the day. 12 guys made it through and I was one of them!

So, Overall it was a nice experience. My advice is that maintain your cool, be confident and you'll nail it for sure. All the best!
