Placement Papers - Mphasis

It was a pool campus drive of Mphasis in which 5-6 college students cited. The paper was conducted on 30th January 2016 in an oriental institute of science and technology (OIST) Bhopal, around 550 students came for the drive, the auditorium was almost packed with students. The paper was organised by AMCAT which consists of 4 sections - aptitude, reasoning, English and computer programming . All were multiple choice questions, the paper was of moderate level, practise previous year AMCAT papers.

out of 550, 60 got shortlisted for an interview which was scheduled on 12th Feb 2016. On that day Mphasis team came gave the pre-placement talk, company profile, package, bond everything they tell. After that they divided into batches of 10 for Group Discussion, the topics were like reservation in India, which game is better cricket or hockey etc, the only key to clear GD is to speak they are only judging how you speak not what are you speaking. it was an elimination round .

the next round was technical interview there is no HR round in Mphasis separately , sometimes technical person asks some hr questions. They asked me only about my project, I showed him some of the snapshots of my project in my mobile and explained it briefly from tip to top, he was fully satisfied with my answer and also made some cross questions, be confident there. Then he asks me do you have any questions, I asked some questions related to the company. Then I leave the room. Saying thank you with a smile.

The next round was the versant test, it was not a difficult one, A person from Mphasis send me to conference room there was a landline phone. He dials a no and handover phone to me along with a sheet on which instructions are written.

Test includes 5 parts:

Part A: Reading. read sentences written on sheet which computer asks.

Part B : Repeat. Here you will have to catch ascent. Ascent will be American.

Part C : Make the sentences.

Part D: Some easy question that you can easily answer.

Part E : Computer says a story of around 3-4 lines you have to hear it properly and repeat the story, (trick :- note keywords in mind and narrate a story with your own using those keywords, do not shut your mouth there speak) out of 80, 53 is compulsory to obtain. otherwise, you will not be selected.
