Placement Papers - MindTree

I applied offline through the careers page and gave the AMCAT test.
I got selected for the next round i.e. technical interview.

TECHNICAL ROUND : Lasted for around 30-45 minutes (approx).

Interviewer : So, tell me about your background and family.
Me : Told everything.

Interviewer : If not engineering then what would you do ?
Me : Told everything.

Interviewer : How much would you rate yourself in C language out of 10 ?
Me : I said 5 (as I was not so strong in C).

Interviewer : Then in which language would you rate yourself 10/10 ?
Me : I said JAVA (my strong point).

Interviewer : What are the properties of Java language?
Me : Told all the four major properties (Encapsulation, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction).

Interviewer : Have you heard anything called overriding n JAVA ?
Me : Yes, its used for runtime polymorphism (explained the concept).

Interviewer : Write a program to explain overriding ?
Me : Did and explained.

Interviewer : Do you have any hobbies?
Me : Told my part.

Interviewer : Have you done any projects so far ?
Me : Told my part.

Interviewer : Gave a pattern program and asked to write the logic in C language ?
Me : I wrote the logic half correct but in Java (as I was not good in C).

Interviewer : What is the difference between arrays and structure (part of C) ?
Me : Was not able to answer properly as I didn\'t have much idea about structures.

Interviewer : Why do want to join Mindtree ?
Me : Told my part.

Interviewer : Do you think you are perfect in every aspect (in respect to the education) ?
Me : As a fresher, I don\'t have much experience so I can\'t be perfect at this moment.

Interviewer : So, do you need to learn anything new or not ?
Me : Yes sir, I need to learn a lot and hoping I will get the opportunity sooner.

Interviewer : But Mindtree is not there in Kolkata ?
Me : I am fine with the locations of Mindtree across India.

Interviewer : Thank you so much !

I didn\'t answer everything (as mostly was out of my subject interests) but I still cleared the round just because I Was confident and always had a positive approach towards all the answers.

After a few minutes I got to know I cleared this round and the next was the HR round.

HR ROUND : Lasted for 10 minutes.

The HR was not so friendly (as I faced in other companies) , I don\'t know what was the problem but he behaved as.

If something happened.

HR : Explain everything which happened with you from the moment you left your house in the morning ?
Me : Told my part.

HR : Did you miss anything important ?
Me : I don\'t think so, I mentioned everything.

HR : Ok, then he asked about some tags from HTML & CSS (irrespective of it being the HR round and not Technical) ?
Me : I got confused but answered after a few seconds.

HR : So, what are your plans after going from here?
Me : Told my part.

HR : Do you know about the self learning program of Mindtree ?
Me : Yes. (explained what I know).

HR : Why you want to join Mindtree and what if all you know about the company is not true ?
Me : I got really nervous during this round and even fumbled with my English but somehow I answered my Point.

I didn\'t find the HR being good, he made me nervous throughout the time, he didn\'t even ask if I had any Questions or queries.

But I answered what I could and then he asked me to wait outside the office for the results.

After a few minutes I got to know that I got selected and I was really happy.

Just waiting for the official mail while writing this review !

Just be confident and clear your basics in JAVA, OS, DBMS (basic subjects) before the interview.
