Hello friends, This is Amay Devwrat, Computer Engineering, B.E. This being one of the best platforms to share and learn more about Placements. I would like to add my bit to it, I hope it helps. I sat for MindCraft pool placements comprising of 4 Colleges.

It had 3 rounds:

- Aptitude test.
- Group Discussion.
- Interview (Technical + HR).

Aptitude test:

The Quantitative section was quite normal. The same was the case with Logical section. The critical reasoning was most frequently asked was a bit time-consuming. As far as I am concerned, it's advisable to attempt those questions, only when you are done with your other questions. There were 50 questions to be solved in 80 minutes.

Quantitative:

Averages, Age, Clock, Time distance, Boats and streams.

Logical:

Relationship, Odd one out (3, 4 questions).

Group discussion:

It was mostly to check your speaking skills and the confidence with which you are putting up your points. Since it was pool placements (group of colleges), it was a round which led to large elimination. 3-4 students were being selected from 15-20 students.

Topics like: NOTA in elections, the Importance of GD in placements, and Censorship in films.

Interview:

I was the first one to appear for it. So it actually helped in some way because later on people were stressed on what to prepare, what was being asked.

HR round:
HR- Brief me about yourself.
ME- Just mention these points. Name, Schooling, Currently studying, Family background, Hobbies, Strengths, Weakness (if asked).

HR- Are you fine with travelling to different places as per clients requirements?
ME- As of now say YES.

HR- Working on Saturdays?
ME- Ya it's fine with me.

HR- Hobby?
ME- I shoot professionally.

Technical:

- Resume should be precise. Specify points you know.
- I was asked about how I will implement my final year project.
- What computer languages do you know?
- Software life cycle, software models (waterfall, raid, spiral etc. ).
- Black box, White box testing.

Overall you have to be confident and answer smart, it's not always necessary to answer right, just answer smart.
Result: The Company found me good enough to select me as one of the 12 candidates selected out of 400 students approx.
