Placement Papers - MECL

Hi all! I attended MECL interview at Nagpur. I was called for interview based on my performance in GATE 2014. They called 50+ OBC candidates on that day. But only 12 candidates attended. After certificate verification, they interviewed one by one of us. There was a single board with 4 members.

Asked me the following questions.

1. What are the subjects you have studied in B.Tech? I told them, out of them they chosen power plant engineering and asked.
A. What is the role of ash in power plant?
B. How to stop the ash from entering into atmosphere?
C. How to transport ash from collectors to dumping places?
D. What are by products of ash?

After that, they asked.
2. What are your favourite subjects? I told Fluid Mechanics. They asked.
A. How can we transport a fluid from one place to another?
B. What are R1, R2, and R3 in the case of pipes?
C. Which fluid is used to transmit power in the hydraulic machine?
D. What are characteristics of fluid used for force or power transmission?
E. What is the difference between hydraulic oil and gear oil?

After that, they asked me to tell about MECL.
A. What is the job of MECL?
B. Name Other company which explores minerals.
C. Different projects on what MECL is working.

After that, they asked me.
Who is CM of Maharastra?
Horsepower is equal to how many watts?
That's all the questions.
Interview lasted for 20 minutes.
