KEANE PATTERN & INTERVIEW - MARCH 2008 - BHUBANESWAR
We had around 300 students.
1st round was WRITTEN.
It covered the following sub sections-
1. Aptitude
a. Average
b. Time and Work
c. Time, Speed And Distance
d. Percentage
e. Series
f. Ratio and proportion
g. Profit and Loss
2. English-
Very easy. Just fill in the blanks and contextual meanings. Baron\'s guide not required.
3. Logical Reasoning
a. Blood relations
b. Circular Arrangement
c. Logical deduction,etc
I think R.S. Aggarwal Verbal and Non-verbal book will be of great help.
4. One essay of 5-10 lines in 10minutes. My topic was :"Role of your college in your career amendment
2nd round was GROUP DISCUSSION.
16 groups of 10 members each. My topic was: "Do women make better managers?"
Other topics were http://www.ChetanaS.org
a. India and world cup.
b. Indian cricket v/s Australian cricket
c. Should India make nuke deal with Us or stick to russia?
d. 1 billion people and 1 gold medallist.
And some more which I dnt remember.
3rd round was TECHNICAL INTERVIEW.
Around 100 students qualified. If you are from IT or CSE, they will ask right from C to all the languages you have been taught and in detail. If you are any other branch, then your core branch questions will be asked.In addition to that other languages that you know.C, C++, RDBMS, Data Structure for sure. And some on applications of concepts of your branch.
Like they asked me- "If I switch on the AC tell me as an electronics student what will be the process in detail for the AC to start?"
Asked me to write C programs. And also on the Lab subjects. They will stress on the fundamentals and your confidence in presenting them.Do not bluff.
4th round was PERSONAL INTERVIEW (HR)
Its a very simple round. They will judge your flexibility in posting and timings. They asked me about my family background and why most members are in software. Then about my strengths and weaknesses. They will also ask if u are interested in higher studies.
And the basic HR questions was asked to all.
Then finally at 9:40 pm, they announced the name of 50 students who were selected finally. I had my name and my joy knew no bounds. We screamed and celebrated for 30 minutes and got exhausted and went back with the good news for the family.
