KEANE PATTERN & INTERVIEW - 24 MAR 2008

Posted By : Jaseem Rating : +11, -1
Hi Friends

I am Jaseem, doing my 6th semester BTech Electronics and Communication in College of Engineering Perumon. Keane had come to my college on 24th March 2008. There were around 265 students for the test. In that about 120 cleared the test, about 70 cleared GD, 50 cleared Technical interview and finally about 41 got selected. And 30 was from our college.

The test pattern was same as previous placement papers. There is no negative marking. There was an essay writing about how college life has improved ur career. Then the test had 15 Quantitative, 10 English and 10 Logical. The English section was quite easy. simple grammar questions were there.

First of all before attending the test have a look on all the placement papers of Keane. Then select the common questions. This was what i did. Then i selected the chapters like
Time and work
Time and distance
Average
Percentage
Chain Rule
Probability

It is worth to buy R.S Agarwal text books.. Do the problems of above chapters from this text. At least do all the worked out examples..   Be thorough with the examples. And do some questions..Do more if u have time.. But never go for the test without looking the above chapters. The questions from above chapters are sure. but for me the first question was from stocks and shares. but i didnt read only.

Then in the English section its based on ur knowledge in English.. A person who can speak English normally can do this section..

Then about Verbal.. If u can concentrate well on the question u can do it.. Be in a mood to do logical questions during the test. Ur mind should not be disturbed..

First do the questions which u know.. at least try questions which u hav lukd. if u didnt get dnt worry. try once more.. in the first round u will be able to do atleast 15 to 20 questions. and at least 5 from quantitative. Then u will be left with some 20 minutes.. In this time u can give a guess work.. But not all. Try doing the quantitative section. try to eliminate the wrong answers if u are giving a guess work.

After this we had the GD. The topic was "Reservation good or not". Try saying what u know But dnt say nonsense. Me and another guy was against reservation. But all others were for reservation. All together there were 10 students.

So 8 were against me. They were telling against me. So I was able to reply back to them.. the people who eliminated didnt have good voice. But they told points. So try to speak loudly and clearly. in my batch 4 were eliminated.

Then we had the technical interview. The interviewer asked me my favourite topic. I told microprocessor. He asked several questions from 8086. also some from disital. then some general knowledge about my branch. Be confident with ur answer. The other candidates who told digital as their favourite subject were asked to draw gates, and other logical gates..

After tht i had the HR INERVIEW. In that the interviewer asked mt to introduce myself. And then asked me whetr i am interestd in highr studies,.....

Tell everytng clearly.. And have a smiling face.

So if u really try u will surely get placed.. Placement papers helpd me a lot to clear the test.. The rest is in you.. Be Cool Calm and Confident.. One more thing.. never think that only those who have luck will get.. luck is more for those who have workd for it.
