Placement Papers - ITC Infotech

Dear friends,

I want to share my experience with you all about the selection process conducted by ITC Infotech. It was a campus placement drive.

Selection Process:

1. Online Test.
2. Group discussion.
3. Technical Interview.
4. HR Interview.

1. Online Test:

In this round basic questions like Simple interest, Compound Interest, Ration and proportions, Partnership, Boats answer streams and basic numbers questions will be asked.

Verbal: 15 Questions.
Logical: 15 Questions.
Quantitative: 10 Questions.

Total 40 Questions in aptitude and then it is followed by technical questions which comprises of 20 questions to be answered in 30 minutes. So, the Online test wholly comprises of Verbal, Logical, Quants and Technical. 60 (40+20) Questions to be answered in 90 (60+30) minutes. Out of 280 students, 70 were selected in this round.

2. Group Discussion:

In this process generally, a group of 10 is formed and will be given a topic to discuss on that. Our topic was 'Mobile and its Privacy (Includes pros and cons)'. Out of 70 students, 35 were selected in this round.

3. Technical Interview:

This was a very long process, This process lasted for about 45-50 minutes for each student. And even 60 minutes for some students. They mainly focused on the basics of the concepts from students according to the stream they are from. As I am from CSE (Computer Science Engineering) they focused on basics of DBMS, Programming, Projects indulged by the student and finally a logical question followed where we need to apply our mind effectively.

A few Questions asked to me are:

* Introduce Yourself with four components.
* He asked about my Hobbies, and you need to be in a situation to answer with an example rite ahead, so be prepared in advance.
* Project related questions and he asked every bit of that project, so revise the projects you are indulged in.
* He asked me to create a table in the database given a set of attributes.

Given Attributes are Employee ID, Employee Name, Department ID, Department Name, and Employee salary. After creation of tables from these attributes he asked me to write some queries.

# Get the maximum salary of each department.
# Get maximum salary given department.

I wrote both queries and he was satisfied my answers. And finally, he asked me a logical question.

There is a village which comprises of 100 families, one family produces children till a boy child is born. Find the ratio between Boy and girls He asked. It took me 2 minutes to solve this puzzle.

After this he told me "I am giving you the opportunity to talk to our HR and It was very nice talking to you". I said thank you sir and It was pleasure talking to you.

4. HR Interview:

A few Questions asked to me are.
* Introduce yourself which I did.
* Why ITC Infotech?
* Say me something which is not engraved in our CV?
* Do you read any articles? I said yes sir and even explained.
* When I was talking to HR, some snacks were bought to him, he asked me would you like to have anything? I said No sir, Thank you.
* He asked what kind of posts you do on your blog. and I told.
* Have any questions, he asked. (Then I asked some questions related to ITC infotech.)
* Finally he said "We are going to meet you soon again and it is pleasure talking to you, Thank you". I said sir, This is a great experience that I had in the interview process which I never had it before. And said Thank you.

Out of 35 Students 26 students were selected, Out of which I am the First one. Felt very happy, I wasn't able to express my feelings at that point of time, the excitement I got took me to the Sky.
