Placement Papers - ISC Software

Hello All,

My name is Gaurav Shivhare and I am a student of Computer Science Engineering. ISC came in Gwalior for Off Campus drive on 2 Nov and They had followed the same Recruitment Procedure that all other Software Firms do.

1. Pre-placement Talk.
2. Technical + Aptitude Round.
3. Coding Round.
4. Interview (In Bhopal).

In Pre-Placement, The HR described about ISC and CoreCard and then told about the future Opportunities after getting in ISC. After that without any wastage of time students were provided Technical objective questions.

Round 2. This was an actual challenge for all students. The Papers held 30 questions from Output in C++ and DBMS concepts time provided was 30 minutes. After 30 minutes next paper was given containing 30 questions from aptitude (Profit/loss, SI/CI, Time and Work, Time and Speed, Probability and Logical Reasoning) and 30 minutes time.

For Round 2, I think cutoff was about 50 of 60 because many of the students were not selected because they had not attempted questions due to lack of time.

Then Round 3, Round was quite simple Containing 6 questions from coding in either C/C++ for 1 hour, Candidate must have generated 5 programs of 6. The programs were quite simple. Based on recursion, Binary Search, Series Printing and Pattern printing. Most of the students were selected in this Round for 2 Different posts based on their abilities.

1. Software Developer.
2. Software Tester.

The result was told to us on next day by call from ISC. I had Programmed all 6 and I was selected for Software Developer. Then the Interview was conducted at Bhopal on 5, Nov. They had taken Technical Interview based on C/C++ and SQL. And asked me to code in front of him. The interview was good then a small interview by MD and Little Interaction with HR. They had finally announced the result and I was one of the candidates who was selected.
