Infosys Interview Pattern - Pune 24-03-2018

Hello I'm Ravi kumar placed in infosys in the referal drive starting recently. First of all I would like to clear your doubts because everyone writes about the pattern, types of questions which you find in any website. First of all the exam is not tough as told by many people.

The difficulty level comes in the selection because infosys takes very less no of people like in kolkata 1500-1600 students appeared out of which 145 students are called for technical round. No one knows the cutoff exactly so it's better to give your best.

Now comes to syllabus syllabus is huge in many websites they write all the chapters of rs agarwal but it's not necessary to read all of them. If you know the basic concepts you can easily crack it. In my question paper there is one DI question which has five questions and its easy. Many of you got lengthy calculation but do it because there is enough time in aptitude section.

Question can be from table, pie chart, bar graph anything it's on your luck. I have one question from train, one from time and work and one from probability. Basic concept of probability upto class 10. I didn't remember rest two questions.

Logical reasoning is all about your presence of mind but some topic like syllolism comes in paper rest you can do it easily. One question from sitting arrangement which has also 5 questions.

Now the main thing VERBAL ABILITY----->.

40 questions 35 minutes enough means enough. Questions comes from rearrangement of sentences, error spotting, Fill in the blanks, Reading comprehension, Idioms and phrases.

For error spotting, read grammar rules of preposition, articles, tense these topics are enough, it also covers fill in the blanks questions. You can't do anything with idioms and phrases because you can't remember all of them.

There is a myth about reading comprehension. Many people advised you do it in the last time, it's tough-nothing is true believe me. Just go through the questions and when you read the passage you got all your answers. All questions have answers in the paragraph directly. No synonyms antonyms questions in the reading comprehension in my paper.

There are two paragraphs in the paper one small one and the other is slightly lengthy. I found rearrangement a little bit difficult. You can use elimination method in error spotting and fill in the blanks also. If someone doesn't know what elimination method is just google it.

If you clear this round your tr and hr will be on next day. In technical round they basically focus on your communication skills. My skill is also not good but it's enough that interviewer understands what I say to him. So if your communication is average also then it's ok. Prepare your project questions, subject of interest. One question which everyone wants to know is is there any coding questions asked. Yes but it's very simple like swapping two numbers or fibonacci series, armstrong number etc.

Interviewer asked me to write the logic of given a no. Make sum of the digits like 1234 sum is 10. I have java as my SOI so he asked me basic questions of java. One logical question he asked to many people there is a cake and we have to distribute the pieces among 8 people how many minimum no of cuts required to cut the cake. Think about it. That's all for technical round.

In my hr she asked me tell me what are you doing since you passed out in july 2017 and some family related questions.

The answer of cake question is 3. One horizantlly and two vertically at 90 degrees to each other.

That's all for the whole process I have been through and whatever I wrote based on my question paper and my tr hr experience. I hope you find it useful. All the best for your exam.
