Infosys believes in its world class training that's why it's open to all candidates irrespective of their specialization.
Me: May I come in Sir
HR: Please come in Harshitha. Good afternoon. Take your seat.
Me: Thank you Sir. Good afternoon.
HR: tell me about yourself Harshitha
(With your answer to this question, HR makes up his mind. Not 100% but definitely more than 50%)
Me: (Answered with a smile).
HR: Why there is a decrease in your percentage as you move towards Engineering?
Me: (Justified without any panic. And with a tint of humour).
HR:(Smiling) Well I wasn't serious about that question. So how good are you at coding?
Me: I don't say that I can code any given problem statement. But definitely I can give you the logic to be applied. And with some inputs from your end I believe I can come up with the solution.
HR: So write the logic for reversing an array of five integers either the statements or the flowchart.
Me: (Penned down the logic and explained it as I was writing ).
HR: How about logic for finding if a number is prime or not?
Me: (Wrote the logic and when I went wrong at a point HR helped me complete it ).
HR: Good. So What's your mini project about? Could you brief it.?
Me:(answered confidently. HR suggested some improvements that I could work on. I happily accepted the input).
HR: I can find a list of honors annd achievements in your resume. Could you brief out few of them?
Me: (briefed few of them confidently).
HR: Why TED talks?
(I had it in my hobbies and interests list)
Me: (told about the first TED talk I ever watched and how I get inspired through it, also expressed my views on public speaking).
HR: Any questions Harshitha.
Me: How is the work culture at Infosys?I'm eager to know about it.
HR: (beautifully answered).
Any other questions?
Me: How is the training programme for freshers? I'm very excited to be a part of it.
HR: (gave his opinion).
Any more questions?
Me: That's it for now Sir.
HR: Well all the best Harshitha.
Me: (Shook hands with HR) Thank you Sir.
HR happy. Me happy.
157 are placed and I'm glad to be one among them.
Tips: Don't mug up answers for simple questions like tell me about yourself? Why should we hire you etc? Just ask yourself the same question and try to filter out what is to be said and what not.
If you aren't sure about any answers, don't panic, keep calm and brain will find its way out.
Always have a smile on your face. The best ornament ever.
Listen carefully to the HR, take your time and then answer confidently.
All the best folks!
