For many IT / engineering graduates, INFOSYS is one of the most sought after companies. Thus, it is one of the most awaited companies and every year for both campus placements as well as off campus recruitment drives.
Since, Infosys recruitment drive is on-going, I thought it would be useful for you all to know the selection process and the exam pattern followed by Infosys. Thus, I am sharing this information with you in this submission.
Eligibility Criteria.
- First division in class 10th and 12th.
- An aggregate of 68% in B.Tech(approximately).
- No active backlogs(for campus drives).
Selection Procedure & Syllabus.
1. Infosys Written Test : 95 minutes; 65 Questions
This written test is divided into 3 sections. The important topics for each of these sections is given as follows:
Quant: permutations & combinations, number series, crypto math\'s, analytical puzzles, alligations and mixtures, probability etc.
Reasoning: data sufficiency, data (pie / bar / tables / chart), syllogisms, blood relations, statement reasoning etc.
Verbal: one long RC, one short RC, basic grammar, such as : fill in the blanks, antonyms + synonyms, sentence correction, theme detection etc.
The next round is HR + Technical Interview round.
2. Interview(HR +Technical):
Usually, the technical and HR interview is combined. Many questions are from C/C++/JAVA, DS, OS etc.
Some technical questions asked in interviews are as follows:-
1. What do you mean by 3NF in DBMS?
2. What is join in DBMS?
3. What is pass by value and pass by reference?
4. What is Operating System?
5. Difference between C++ and Java.
6. What is the difference between call by reference and call by value?
7. They asked some tricky questions on pointer.
8. Also asked to write double linked list program.
One can learn about all of these topics from IndiaBix itself.
Also, for technical preparation one can use Oliveboard also, as they follow the exact pattern. We use that in our college for preparation purposes. Another resource one can use for programming related preparation for placement purposes is the website geeksforgeeks. They explain every concept in good detail.
