Infosys interview experience:

Infosys consists of 2-3 rounds in their selection process. Aptitude and 1 or 2 HR rounds.

Round 1: (Aptitude).

Infosys Aptitude is assumed to be one of the toughest aptitude among the mass recruiters. To clear this aptitude R.S Aggarwal is not sufficient. Aptitude consists of 3 sections. They have their own portal for the aptitude.

1) Data interpretation and Arithmetic (Graphs, Probability, P&C).
2) Logical (Arrangement problems, Puzzles).
3) Verbal (Same topics as per verbal section on indiabix.com).

In this aptitude, time is sufficient and more emphasis is given on the logical thinking rather than the put value and get the answer. So practice more and more aptitude papers on web for Infosys.

Result: Cleared ;).

Round 2: HR interview. (90% HR + 10% technical)

Me: May I come in.
Int: Yes, Have a sit.
Me: Goon Morning.

Int: Goon Morning. (Going through my resume)
Your marks are consistently decreasing from 10th. Have you stopped studying?
Me: Explained how knowledge of current affairs and technology is important along with academics and also explained my participation in extracurricular (Guitar, programming languages (As I am from E &TC background)).

Int: How many Engineering colleges in your campus? What is the strength of E&TC branch in your college?
Me: Told. (Just answered some random figures confidently)

Int: What is diff. between object and function-oriented language.
Me: Told.

Int: What is polymorphism?
Me: Told. (Answer and justify it confidently, they will try to confusing you)

Int: Are you sure that answer which you have given is right?
Me: Yes sir. (Given example for polymorphism)

Int: (Again Going through my resume) You told your guitarist, but not mentioned participation of any event in resume.
Me: Told. (Differentiated among the Hobby and priority of career)

Int: Why IT company? (Most common question for non IT/comp people, be prepared for it)
Me: Told. (Field of interest)

Int: Have you already selected or seated or any any other company?
Me: No sir, This is my first interview. (Though I was selected in Cognizant) Sometimes you need to lie to stop the chain reaction of cross questions.

Int: Ok, and which are the upcoming companies?
Me: Accenture.

Int: Do you have any friends/seniors in Accenture?
Me: Yes sir. I have my seniors placed in Accenture but they didn\'t get joining date yet,;) (Again closed the topic)

Int: And, What is Package Accenture offering?
Me: 3.5

Int: And What Infosys is offering?
Me: 3.25

Int: Then why do you want to join Infosys ? Go for Accenture.
Me: (Smiled in cheeks) Justified as a Fresher package doesn\'t matters. Package is second priority. Experience, Training Platform provided by Infosys is different than other companies. Also told I have my cousins working in Infosys told me about the working environment in Infosys

Int: Ok, Now give me an honest answer, I am interviewer of Accenture. Now tell me which company do you want to join?
Me: (With serious expressions,) Still I will join Infosys. After all, It\'s Indian Originated company and it was my dream to work with Infosys, which I was decided before appearing to the placement drive :)

Int: (Laughed) Ok. Do you know what exactly Infosys do?
Me: Told. (This question is another form of {What do you know about the company?}. Go through website of company at least night before appearing for interview).

Int : Any Questions from your side?
Me: Asked about the effects of Brexit (Current topic of that time) on the IT industry.

Int: Told.
Me: Ok. Thank you.

Done.

After waiting in class room for half hour, person came and read some names (My name was also there) and told them to leave and others asked to wait for 2nd round of interview.

I was shocked But after a week when results displayed. I was Selected 
2nd round of interview for those who failed to convince them in 1st.

Result: Selected and Placed.

Moral: If you clear Infosys aptitude, you are 90% selected. HR round is just to check your confidence and communication skills. Just stick to your answer, also be prepared for all questions related about your BE project (some of my friends asked about it) and show them that you are open to learn new things. That\'s all.
