In our college we were informed about this on 21st Nov. As a WBUT (MAKAUT now) student we at that time were all busy for Semester Preparation and then this news came like a lightning bolt to us.

I prepared for the campusing in 2 days. Thanks to Indiabix, which became my home for the next 24 hrs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There were around 300 students from different colleges including all colleges under Techno and some college like Scottish Church under CU (B.Sc comp.Scnc students).

Okay. Let me start.

24th November 2015.

We (me and 12 more students from FIEM) reached there around 7:45 am as reporting time was 8 am.

I'll be describing my experience throughout ('.') we.

I was very much nervous as that was my 1st campusing. I'm an average student in my college and hence my pulse bit was damn high.

We entered the college and took our seat in a big auditorium hall. One handsome man entered the hall around 11 am. He apologized for being late and told us that he underestimated the traffic of Kolkata. He was a very frank. He showed us a slideshow about Infosys and gave us a glimpse of GRAND MYSORE INFY CAMPUS.

There were 2 rounds : 1st- Online Aptitude test.

2nd- Technical HR.

Then they called us for online aptitude test. I, as usual was very nervous. Took a deep breath and followed others to a computer lab.

Aptitude syllabus (No quants) [ I practiced all from IndiaBix.com ].

There were 2 parts- Verbal and non-Verbal.

(I'm writing them together).

- Data Interpretation.
- Statement and Conclusion.
- Analogies.
- Verbal Reasoning.
- Logical Problems.
- Verification of Truth.
- Syllogism.
- Data Sufficiency.
- Mirror Images.
- Series.
- Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Correction.
- Comprehension (keep them for last).

Well the paper was easy and I was relieved. But still there was a fear that what if I couldn't pass the cut off. The result was out around 7 pm and 140 students got selected out of which 7 students from my college including me.

25th November 2015 - Technical HR round.

On this day I felt super nervous. Idk what to do. The interview started from 11 am sharp. Before that we were made to fill up some forms and stuffs.

My Interview call came around 1:45 pm.
The Interviewer was a middle aged man and he was very frank and jolly.

M: Sir, may I come in? (with nervous tone).
Int: Please come in.

M:  (I kept standing near his table as he didn't ask me to take a seat).

Int: Please sit down gentleman. Oh. You got a nice tie.
M: Thank you sir, it is my father's.

Int:  (Smiles) So tell me about yourself.
M: Told. My family background, my education background, strengths and weakness.

Int: Are you nervous?
M: Yes sir. A little bit. Because it is my first time facing an interview.

Int: So what you do in your spare time? (smiling).
M: So I do Graphics Designing, watch TV series and anime.

Int: Graphics Designing? that's an interesting topic. Lets talk about it. What actually you do in it?
M:  (I felt so refreshed at this point. Finally I'm gaining confidence) Told everything.  (he seems bit interested in it).

Int: Okay so according to your RESUME. You are an actor too.
M: Yes sir. I do short films.

Int: Interesting. So you did project on ASP.Net?
M: Yes sir.

Int: Tell me about your project.
M: Explained.

Int: Good. So what is a primary key?
M: Told.

Int: What happens to a child table if parent table get deleted.
M: Told.

Int:  (going through my resume. ) what subjects do you have in present semester?
M:  (I'm gone. Idk anything about my present syllabus. I forgot everything. ) I said slowly. Sir. UNIX, Networking, Windows Programming.

Int: Okay. So lets talk about networking.
(then he asked a question about Routing).
M: Sorry sir, I don't know the answer.

Int: Why? you have this in your current semester right?
M: Yes sir. I've not started my 5th sem syllabus.  (Typical WBUT student. Who only read before exam week :P).

Int: He bursts out laughing. Okay tell me about Candidate key.
M: Told. But it was not totally right.

Int: What do you mean by Database Exception?
M: I don't know sir.

Int: Okay. No problem. Write a Shell script to find a factorial of a number.
M: Sir. I'll try.  (wrote the program. Logic was correct. But it syntax was wrong. As stated before not yet started my sem syllabus xD).

Int: Okay try that in other languages.
M: I wrote that in. C, C++ & in C#.

Int: Good.
Then he told me that today we'll b hired as a tester in the company. And gave me a program to test.
M:  (I've no idea what to do. So) I told him sir. Compiler will find the syntax errors.

Int: Yeah. But what are the errors except Syntax errors. That can occur.
M: I was totally confused and kept staring at him with a smiling face. And after few seconds I surrendered.

Int: He stared at me. And told. Okay so do you want to ask anything?
M: I asked about the training process. [Always ask questions. Read ABOUT US portion of the company before interview].

Int: Okay, thank you. You may leave.
M: Greeted him. And came out of the cabin.

I was sure not going to get selected. I couldn't answer many questions.

But to my surprise the list of candidates who cleared the interview came out. And my name was in 4th position. Best day of my life. 26th Nov 2015.

1st campusing is always a lifetime experience. Be confident and conquer everything with honesty and a smiling face.

P. S - It was a 45 min interview.
