Hi all, I attended the Infosys Campus drive. The first round was aptitude round just like mentioned by Infosys, pattern was - 10 questions (analytical and arithmetic) in 35mins, 15 questions (critical and logical) in 25mins and 40 questions (Communicative English) in 35mins.
The first section once started consisted of 10 questions from syllogism, and data interpretation and sufficiency.
The second section had logical distance problems, permutations and combinations, probability and critical reasoning questions along with a crypt arithmetic question.
Communicative english had 2 passages with questions to be answered from it.
Had to be quick in reading comprehensions as the time keeps running.
The first and second sections have to be tackled without tension. Taking deep breathe before starting the test, helped me remain calm. Out of 10 questions in 1st section try to solve easier ones first and come back to the one you feel difficult. It saves time and keeps you confident about answers that you knew are correct.
2nd section was much easy as the logical questions are easier to solve. Puzzles on arrangement of things and problems are given. Out of 15 questions scoring 12 correct is not difficult.
Communicative english - one should be very quick in understanding the passage for theme detection and inference. Options look similar. As I worked more on sentence correction and sentence completion, I was able to get into to the second round.
They look for the ones good at all 3 sections. So paying attention to all 3 sections are very very important. Refer general formulae from IndiaBix for aptitude. And try to know how to implement those formulae for problems given. If you practice it, its not necessary to refer any particular book as they don\'t give any question from the aptitude books. At the end of the day when the results were announced, felt happy to get selected to the interview process the next day.
