Hello friends I am from Electronics branch and sharing my experience of Infosys campus drive.
Infosys visited MITS gwalior on 24 sept 2015. The process include online test and then one single interview. They started with their presentation and then test started. It was an online test Test pattern is -
1. Verbal( 40 ques 35 min)- 2 Rc both are very easy, 8 sentence correction,8 sentence completion(preposition, article etc), 8 again sentence correction(4 options are given you have to choose best suitable from it), 6 ques based on theme detection and inference.
2. Analytical thinking(15 ques 25 min)- 5 ques from syllogism( 6 statements are given and you have to select which three of them are logically followed), 5 ques from data sufficiency and 5 ques of data interpretation(pie chat).
3. Critical Thinking (10 ques 35 min)- a puzzle consisting of 5 ques, 1 ques of probability, permutation, series, ratio proportion and time and distance.
Difficulty level:
1 - Verbal was quite easy but time is very less so attempt rc nd theme detection at the end. For sentence correction you just need to brush up with the rules of grammar.
2 - Analytical thinking- this section was also very easy. Syllogism and data sufficiency can be easily solved in 12 min but the DI was very difficult. No one can clearly understand exactly what was asked.
3 - Critical thinking - this section was very tough and it is the basis of selection because there is no room for making mistakes. You need to correct at least 6-7 ques out of 10. So prepare hard for it.
Around 300-350 student attended the campus drive and only 97 cleared it(as cutoff was a little bit higher) We got the result at 11:30 pm and my name was there in the list :).
DAY 2 Interview:
Interview started at 9:30am . There were four panels. My name was called at around 4pm.
Me - May I come in sir
Hr - Come in and sit.
(when I entered the room I closed the door but it was not properly closed then he asked me to close it properly- 1st mistake).
I wished him good evening.
HR - Tell me about yourself?
Me - Told.
HR - Asked 1 ques about my hobby
Me - Told
HR - Explain me your minor Project?
Me - Explained (not clearly but I made him understand in sucha way that he can easily understand).
HR - Explain it by drawing circuit diagram?
Me - Explained.
Then he saw my resume and asked some ques on programming (as basic in C language was mentioned on it).
My interview lasted for only 8-10 min. it was not so good.
There was 1 HR who took interview of each candidate for 40-45 min. He asked all the technical ques of main subjects of their streams and also ask 4-5 programs to write.
So be prepared with the technical question and your project and do not write anything fake in your resume.
