Infosys Interview Experience - Vizag, September 27, 2015

Posted By : Myra Rating : +47, -2
Hi friends. Myra again. I recently posted about the Infosys test paper. I am here now to post about the interview. Sorry for the delay as the results were out only today.

So I will post my detailed interview here.

I: Hallo. How are you? Did you eat breakfast?
M: Good Morning Sir. I am fine Sir, thank you. Yes Sir, I did.

I: So Myra, how did you prepare for the test?
M: Sir, since I am not really good at C.

I: (interrupting) Why? which branch are you from?
M: Told (Not from any course that normally uses programming)

I: Oh, how did you happen to join this course.
M: Told.

The interviewer asked two or three very basic questions about my course, and I replied well.

I: OK, you are so good at your subject. Why do you want to join a software company?
M: Sir, the world is being profoundly reshaped by software. There is programming in every field of engineering. For example, we use ANSYS software in many fields of engineering. It is a software that has totally changed the way how we can test many engineering products. And any software has to start off from programming at some level. Even in our field of engineering, we used wide range of software for various purposes. So I believe that the difference between an IT company and Core company is not as huge as it is being projected. They both are on the same step and go hand in hand.

I: Good, good thinking.

I: What did you eat for breakfast.
M: Told.

I: So that is what is making you speak.

I: So let us still come back to C. How did you prepare?
M: Sir I asked me seniors who appeared for Infosys interview last year, they asked me to go through several programs that are readily available from the internet and I did the same.

I: (laughing) Acha, so what program you prepared.
M: Sum of digits, palindrome.

I: Can you write the palindrome program.
M: Yes Sir. Wrote it.

I: So what else do you do other than studying.
M: Told hobbies in detail.

I: So that's all from me, have you any questions to ask me?
M: Based on the pre-placement talk, I asked him a question. He explained.

I: So it was a pleasure talking to you. Have a good day and all the best.
M: Thank you Sir.

The results were out and I got placed.

The key to Infosys interview is to speak out confidently. Most of friends who couldn't write the C code were also selected because they could talk and convey their opinion.

Though I wasn't asked to introduce myself, this question is very important in the interview and no one can introduce you better than yourself, and since first impression is the best impression, I advise all to get a good answer prepared for this. Include your strengths, weaknesses and hobbies as well. Don't talk too much about your education - that is visible from the resume.

That is all, 3 Cs for Infosys. Confidence, Communication, and C (very very little actually).

Also the interviewers are so warm and amicable, you usually come out smiling after the interview. You will feel as if you had spoken to some friend.

Good luck to everyone out there.  :D

Good day . :)
