Infosys Interview Experience - Bangalore, June 27, 2015
I got 2.6 years of experience in salesforce(Cloud computing). I got a call from Infosys and scheduled interview at 12PM june 27 for Face to Face interview. There are 400+ candidates attended the interview with different domains and experiences.
I was asked to fill a application and sit in the conference hall. There were about 60-70 people waiting in the hall along with me. I saw many people browsing interview questions/company info etc in there mobiles and few were biting their nails. I felt bit nervous, but I pretended to be most confident guy in the room. Trust me that pretending helped me a lot in the complete interview process.
Then I was called by middle aged person with some serious looks. Later I understand he was technically sound. I greeted him and then he smiled. He took me to his cabin and asked "Tell me about yourself".
Then I started.
"Well, I googled myself this morning, here it is what I found. I am very committed towards my work and passionate about coding. I got job in my previous company with my programming skills and they trained me in salesforce and blah blah blah. " and then I told about my certification and my family and my hobbies. And asked him. Is there any thing that he wanted to know.
He asked me about my biggest challenges I faced in project. I told him that my first project is my biggest challenge as I was new. Then he asked me to elaborate it. I described him few challenges I faced. He then asked technical questions which I answered well. He asked few areas where I never worked. I answered that I wasn't aware of those. Guys. If you don't know any thing of asked question say that you don't know. Trust me, most of the times it will give positive impression on you.
He asked me to stay at the same conference room which I previously waited. I thought there will be only 2 rounds. But after 15mins another guy called my name and took to his cabin. It was also a technical round. He asked few technical question which I answered them well. The conversation with him went so well that I felt I am talking to my friend. He asked about my opinion about pressure handling, location change and how I helped my juniors in my experience. I seen he was convinced with my answers.
Later again I sat in same conference. This time another guy called me and asked me to go top floor where HR's were interviewing. I saw 30-40 members calmly. When I entered in to the every body turned their faces towards me as if I did some crime.
I sat there for 2 hours till 4PM. Those 30-40members went and another 30 candidates also went to interview. At last a female voice called my name and greeted me. She took me to big conventional hall. She checked my resume and asked me to tell about myself. I repeated the same stuff again and she asked few questions like why I want to leave my previous job, location preference, my salary expectations and general things.
She asked me to wait for 5 more minutes and called me back again and told.
Your package will be this. Your gross will be this. Your designation is. Your team will be.
Then I felt. Do I really got job or am I listening wrong. She said offer letter will be sent with in 10 days. Then it was clear. Ok I got the job.
Then I told. Can I ask few questions to you. She said "yeah".
I asked about work culture. Dress code. Events. What she liked in Infosys most.
She answered clearly for all my questions.
Can I ask you one last question. She said. Yes go a head.
Can you tell me where is the nearest food court/cafeteria. I am feeling so hungry.
Then she told. Oh you haven't done with your lunch and then she suggested few nearest places where can I have snacks to eat.
Finally I left the room after thanking her. The key to success is Be Confident. If you are not confident, pretend to be confident. It helped me to perform so well. Trust me guys. It works great.
All the best.
