The drive was off campus and I got the mail regarding apti 6 days before the test.
Use this time to your full potential and prepare and practice all topics. Try and find your weak topic and practice it more.
The apti includes 3 sections.
(a) Arithmetic Reasoning and Analytical Thinking,
(b) Mathematical Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning,
(c) Verbal Ability Test.
Preparation tips : Use R.S. Agrawal, and many websites like IndiaBix.
SECTION (a):
Time 25 mins (Be calm and real carefully, more than enough time to solve).
5 questions on Data interpretation[All types of graphs or networks (rare eg. Travelling salesman problem) ].g
5 questions on Data sufficiency, eg. Age problems.
5 questions on Syllogisms.
SECTION (b):
Time 35 mins 10 questions, mostly easy but can have 2-3 tricky questions.
Enough time to solve all.
Topics generally are probability, number series, time & work, ratio prop, crypt arithmetic, permutations & combinations. Etc.
SECTION (c):
Time 35 mins 40 questions to solve.
TIME MANAGEMENT IS THE KEY.
Practice well if you are weak in english.
2 passages (HUGE) 5 questions on each.
Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, theme detection etc.
Easy but solve very fast.
CLEARED THE APTI AND INTERVIEW WAS SCHEDULED THE NEXT DAY.
Questions asked:
1) Tell me about yourself.
2) Explain me your project.
3) Why you used this technology for project implementation?
4) What is your role in the project?
5) What were difficulties faced in project implementation?
6) Do you know SDLC?Explain it.
7) Tell me types of testing.
8) What is black box and white box testing?
9) What are your future plans?
HR:Thank you, thats all for me, GOOD DAY!
TIPS:
1) although I was not asked any coding related questions, many other people were asked many coding and logical questions.
2) Be good in communication, be confident, be honest.
3) Try to maintain good body language.
Even though they tell you that results will be mailed in 2 weeks, it can take much longer about a month or even 45 days.
Keep hope until you get the mail.
Infosys also sends Rejection mail if you are not selected.
I got offer letter after 30 days.
