Placement Papers - Infosys

Hai all,

I received call letter for Infosys drive at Chennai on 9th November 2014. I already had attended infosys drive on January and rejected in online test itself. But this time I am strong enough to crack the online test.

I caught train on 8th and reached Chennai at morning 5.30 and attended the online test at 8.30.

In online test 5 questions from data interpretations (QA).

And problems from train, probability etc.

The reasoning and verbal section is very important and also tough. I had finished all the sections 10 minutes before the allocated time. I almost attended all the questions because there is no negative marking. I hadn\'t have any tension regarding the online test and night around 9\'o clock I got call letter for interview on the next day after noon 1.30.

I reached the venue at 12.30 and had lunch from the college canteen. After submitted the required document and called for interview at evening 4.30.

Interview:

Me: Sir, May I come in. ?

Interviewer: Yes come in.

I entered into the room.
Me: Good evening sir.

Int: Good evening. Please take your seat.
Me: Thank you sir.

Sir: Okey Arun, where are you from. ?
Me: I\'m from kerala.

Int: Oh. When you reached chennai.
Me : Yesterday.

Int: good. Describe about yourself.

I described with my education, achievements, Project and experience of previous infosys interview and compared it with other MNC\'s interviews.

Int: Ok you know basics of c and c++.

Me: yes sir, I had studied in my 1st year.

Then he asked some basic questions and ask me to write the program for swapping. I wrote it using temporary variable. He again asked to write without using temporary variable.

Me: Sorry sir I don\'t know.

Int: Explain your project briefly.
I explained.

Int: What you did the past 6 months after completing your degree. ?
Me: I have been going for bank exam coaching and parallelly attending interviews.

Int: Ok. If you got offer letter from both infosys and bank which one you prefer. ?
Me: I prefer the one which have the date of joining come first.

Int: Why. ?
Me: Because I have many financial problem in my family so I have to get in to a job as early as possible.

Int: Ok. Do you have any questions. ?
Me: yes sir,

Asked my doubts regarding the selection process and company requirements etc.
He explained everything.

Int: Ok thank you Arun have a great day.
Me: Thank you sir. Nice to meet you.

I received offer letter on 24 Nov. My DoJ is Dec. 15.

As far as infosys is concerned the online test is important and if you crack it 90% chance to get in to the company.
