Infosys Ltd Interview Experience - Bangalore, November 8th, 2014

Hi all....:):)

I attended Infosys Recruitment drive held at RNSIT, Bangalore on Nov 8th, Sat. I am from Kerala, and had taken the huge risk of attending this pool drive held at Bangalore. The reporting time was 8.30, but there was a delay of one hour as they had some server problem and hence couldn't start the online test.

We waited patiently in their conference room and slowly they started taking us to their labs. The campus was huge and had several buildings with great facilities, also the staffs of the college were very nice:) with us and gave us confidence!

The exam started around 9.30 for the first batch of students. The pattern as you guys know, consist of three sections. Prepare these from R.S Aggarwal.

1) Data interpretation.
2) Critical thinking and Logical reasoning.
3) Verbal Ability.

The first section can be done quickly with some amount of practice. It has lot of calculations and hence requires practice to increase speed. Second section it was a bit tough for me (as i didn't prepare well on critical thinking ques). Still it can be done with a little study in critical thinking questions. The questions may seem very tough but if you get the trick it will be easy!! :), and my favourite section is the third one, which is verbal ability. It will either be  too simple for those who have reading habit or very tough for others who lack it.

The main point is don't sit and read the whole passage or paragraph given, just read the question and browse through the text for the answer with the keywords in the question. So dont waste too much time as this section has most number of question.

And the exam got over by 11.30, overall it was ok for me.:) So had a little hope!

We were informed that the results will be sent via mail either the same day late eve or the next day. Only those who get shortlisted will receive the mail.

Luckily I got shortlisted and received the mail on my way back home!!!

But I had to report on 10th, Monday at the same place and same time. So I had to find tickets to reach back the next day itself, which was very challenging. But I managed and reached Bangalore on Sunday night.:)

Next day I reached the college at the correct time, and all were asked to wait in a conference hall in their MBA building. After half an hour, the officials came and started reading out names from the application form submitted the previous day, and believe me, I was the first candidate!! I became super tensed, but I knew, I had to relax in order to do well.

Friends, the MANTRA to be followed while waiting for the interview is just think in mind that you aren't gonna get it!! YES. It works very well!:D. It will reduce nervousness and you will be able to speak without stammering and in a confident way!

But that doesn't mean that you go unprepared. Be prepared with your resume, they will ask in and out from it!! Be thorough on your project, that is the main HIGHLIGHT! then few HR questions, be confident about what you say, That's all! They just check your communication skills!

And finally they ask for any question? Just ask the HR genuine ones, so that it keeps up your image:) That's it!!

Mine took a bit long, as I was the first person with that HR. I was so happy that I completed so early!:) tension free!

We all waited till afternoon for the results but no luck. They had to complete a lot more interviews. So told us that if selected we will receive mail within 2 weeks, and after such a long wait. I received the mail yesterday eve!!!

I was on the ninth cloud. Thank you soo much god!! and all those who were with me in my all times! for their support and blessings!

I thank IndiaBix for the help in preparing for the test and interview.:)

So prepare well. Be confident and you will rock it!!

See you @ Infy!:)
