Placement Papers - Infosys

Hi.

I am Arka Chakrabortty, final year Mechanical Engineering student from Govt College Of Engineering & Textile Technology, Berhampore, West Bengal. On Nov 3-4th Infosys conduct a pool Campus drive with 4 Govt colleges in West Bengal in GCELT &GCECT campus, Kolkata.

First of all I would like to thanks IndiaBix, trust me before campus drive I have only go through with IndiaBix questions & T.I.M.E study materials (as I am a CAT aspirant & was a student @ T.I.M.E).

Well on the day 1st there was a PPT of Infosys for about 1 hr, listen very carefully though it was very boring but @ PI round interviewer may ask some questions from this section.

2nd was Aptitude round (no negative marking :D but there was sectional cut off)

A) Arithmetic Reasoning (25 questions - 15 minutes) difficulty - easy :D

B) Mathematical Critical Reasoning & Logical Reasoning (10 questions - 35mins) difficulty-not very easy, just you need lots of practise.

C) Communicative English (40 questions - 35 minutes) difficulty- not easy, time management is very important in this section. Many students failed in this section. There was two huge paragraph of total 10 marks (5+5), leave it 1st , if you have time at last then tick some of it.

**for aptitude section don\'t panic seeing the questions, stay very cool. For this you need to give lots of test at your home. Practice a lot from IndiaBix.

Due to some problem, they could not able to declare the result on 3rd Nov. So it came out @ next day morning @ 8:30 am, at that time I was sleeping :P cause whole night I could not able to sleep well. 276 students appeared for aptitude section 60 were selected for interview round.

So @ 9:30am interview (HR+PI combined) start & my turn came @ 1:30pm.

Me: May I come in sir?
HR: Yes. Please come, have a sit.
ME: Thank you sir.

HR: Tell me about yourself.
ME: Told (for this type of question you just need to highlight your positive points, like - why you are unique than others & why they will hire you.)

HR: Well your subject of interest.
ME: Told (As I am a Mech Engg students, HR did not know well about my subject, so I elaborate him about my subject very well.)

HR: So it sounds very interesting. (impressed)
HR: Tell me about your Final year project.
ME: Told.

HR: What do you know about C programming?
ME: I know basic of C sir. But not very deeply right now because last night I could not able to sleep. (Tell him the real facts).

HR: So you are a Rabindra Sangeet singer? Are you Still active in your college days?
ME: Told him about my college band.

HR: Very Good, So you are a Rock Star.
ME: Told.

HR: Well you are a Painter too (actually HR was pointing out those things which I have written @ my CV ) Are you currently active?
ME: Told.

HR: So, Arka, Do you have any question for me?
ME: Asked. (always ask question it shows that you are interested about their company).

HR: Told.
ME: Thank you sir.

HR: Best of luck.
ME: Thank you sir. (shake hands and left)

*** Well for interview section you need to go through IndiaBix interview questions, It will help you a lot. And practice those questions in front of a mirror, it will improve your body language.

Finally result came out @ 6:30pm out of 60 students 42 were selected. And I was one of them.
