Hi all,

I attended Infosys recruitment process few days back. There were two rounds:.

1. Online Aptitude Test.
2. Interview.

1. Online Aptitude Test:

It consisted of 3 sections mainly.

i) Arithmetic and Analytical Reasoning.
ii) Mathematical and Logical Reasoning.
iii) Communication Test.

Section 1 was very easy. Section contained 15 questions. Questions were asked on following types.

I) Given a set of sentences, you have to find 3 sentences which are logically related.

Eg:

a) Rahul is older than Sharad.
B) Sharad is older than Raju.
C) Raju is younger than Reema.
D) Rahul is older than Raju.

Ans: abd.

ii) Data Interpretation: Table was given and you needed to fill up the values in the table.

iii) Data Sufficiency Questions.

Section 2 contained few quantitive questions which were on mixture and allegation, clock, time and distance, ratio and proportion. It also contained cryptarithmetic problem. Lastly, the section had logical reasoning question which was on sequencing. It was very easy. No.of Questions: 10.

Section 3 contained 2 big passages, questions on sentence correction, fill in the blanks, synonyms, statement reasoning (statement-conclusion, statement-arguement, etc). No.of Questions:40.

Overall test was good. It is unlike what people stated that Infosys aptitude is very difficult. In reality, it is very easy. Just use your common sense.

84 people cleared out of 114 and I was one of them.

Tips:

i) Do not read the entire passage. First read the questions and then look for answers.
ii) There are sectional cutoff so be careful while answering.
iii) Do not stress more on quantitative aptitude. Do basic topics like ratio and proportions.

2. Interview:

For Interview, all you need to do is be confident. Questions were asked based on the resume. You need to know the basic C/C++ for Interviews even if you are NOT from CS background. My Interview was purely technical. Please Do not keep quiet if you don\'t know. If you don\'t know, tell that you don\'t know. We are not expected to remember everything as we are not robots.

Some Questions which interviewer had asked are as follows:

1. What is Normalization?
2. Difference between C, C++ and Java?
3. Difference between http and https?
4. Polymorphism, Inheritance.
5. What is primary key, secondary key?
6. What is cloud computing?
7. What are your 3 biggest achievements?

Some people were told to write programs irrespective of their branches. So please go through at-least basics of C programming.

Overall Interview experience was good. Key is to be confident.

Results were displayed today and my name was there.

Friends, Please don\'t lose heart if you don\'t get in some company. I was rejected earlier by Accenture, IBM.

Wish you all the best ! :).
