Hi friends.
I attended my Infosys campus drive on 22nd Sept. As usual, first was aptitude. , it was not so difficult at all. Just knowing all the basic concepts clearly will make you clear the test.
A little bit of logical thinking is enough. We can arrive at the answers even without using formula. Because, I did it that way since I usually forget formula in case I by-heart it.
It had 3 sections:
1) Logical reasoning. It was quite easy. It contained syllogisms, data sufficiency, data interpretation(line graphs), and drawing conclusions, seating arrangement like questions.
2) Quants. It was good I should say. Few questions out of 10 had direct methods and formula to solve them. But others needed thinking. It had crypt arithmetic, boats and streams, time and distance, geometry, volume and area.
3) Verbal. It was a little bit tough because all 4 options given were confusing. And sometimes we have more than 4 options. Let me share you what I did. I just clicked the answer option which I felt was right. Just by thinking once. Second thought will eat your time.
Leave the 2 long passages for the last 10 minutes. Try to complete the sentence corrections and other parts within first 25 min out of the 35 min given.
Then before reading the passages ensure that you have answered all d questions including the passage questions. Click some option at random. Then we can change it later.
A small tip to save time in passage : don\'t read the entire passage, read the question. Pick up the key word from it, search for that word in the passage. If you find, the read the surrounding lines. You will find the answer for the question. Believe me this will work out.
To be frank I had 1 minute left over when I completed this section. And I did not read my passage fully. One was about deja vu and other was about minimal arts.
So. That was my aps test.
Next was technical/hr round. But I had 80% technical only. Question were from DS, SDLC, java especially I was asked to write programs for data structures. , database connectivity using jdbc, memory allocation and deallocation in java (- you don\'t have deallocation because java automatically does that).
DBMS join and normalization queries and few other hr questions, . Is current IT trend going in right path? Like that. And have some knowledge on current technologies used in companies. Cloud computing, bigdata, Android. Artificial intelligence etc. . Saying the truth. There were considerable amount of eliminations in the technical round. But not much.
All you need to do is explain those you know very clearly having a pen and paper. If you donno say "I don\'t know" politely. Confidence and communication skills with a little technical knowledge is what they look for.
Stay cool and confident. All the best to everyone. Hope to meet you at infosys!
