We had our Infosys campus drive in college on 24th and 25th on September.
Infosys first conducts an online test which has three sections.
1. Logical reasoning( syllogisms, series, data sufficiency, coding decoding, etc): 15 questions, 35 minutes.
2. Arithmetic reasoning( permutation and combination, probability, percentage, etc): 10 questions, 25 minutes.
3. Verbal ability( error correction, reading comprehensions, synonyms, sentence selection): 40 questions, 35 minutes.
First two sections are not very difficult. If you have practiced regularly, it should seem pretty easy. Third section i.e. English part is the most difficult as well as time consuming. There are two long reading comprehensions which take a lot of time so I\'ll advice to attend them at the last.
This online test is the major eliminator so the key is to crack this test.
Infosys takes only one interview which is the mix of technical and HR. The interviewers are very friendly. They don\'t trouble you much so you need not worry or get tensed.
They check basic knowledge about your field. If you are from IT or CS branch, you should be prepared with some basic programs, knowledge about any one language, and subjects like DBMS and Software Engineering. They don\'t get deep into the subjects so basic preparation will suffice. I was asked about Cloud computing, Computer networks and a little bit of software Engg.
I was also given a puzzle in between. Do not get nervous and never leave the CAN DO attitude. Even if you don\'t know the answer or cant write a program, just say You don\'t know but be prepared with a good substitute. For instance, if he asks you about java, you can say sir i java is not my strong point but I am comfortable with C or C++. Also prepare your projects and training well.
He should be able to see your learning and positive attitude. Keep a nice smile on your face and look into the eyes of the interviewer.
They eliminate very few people from the interview so be confident and give your best shot.
As Infosys was a DAY 1 company along with Tech Mahindra and Cognizant, we got our results later in the evening and I got selected in all the three companies.
Hope that helped. Good luck! :)
