Infosys recruitment process included,
1. Online Aptitude Test.
2. Personal Interview.
Aptitude test was relatively easy. The English portion was a bit tricky, needs patience to solve. Nearly 60% was cut-off in each sections.
Personal Interview was on next day.
105 students were shortlisted out of 300.
Single round Tech come HR interview.
My interviewer was a Mam(mid 30s).
Interviewer - Good morning Sourin.
Me - Good morning mam.
Interviewer - How should I pronounce your name?
I pronounced it.
Interviewer - So, Sourin You are from Civil Engineering department, then why software?
Me - Mam, basically Civil Engineering is not limited to bricks and sand only. We need to analyse big data, formulate them. Actually all engineering branches are integrated. We need software to solve critical problem smartly and efficiently. And I liked programming from my school days.
Interviewer - (impressed) How to develop a software?
Me - Mam I can\'t tell the process of developing a software but from general perspective in any developing process we need to collect data first, then analyse, then making a prototype to run, calculating feasibility of the project and economic vitality, then launching it.
Fully impressed. (Rest was just finishing touch).
Interviewer - About your projects?
Me - Told in details.
Interviewer - Basic C programming.
Me - Solved.
Interviewer - I am done. You are having any question?
Me - Thank you mam. What skills I need to have if I am selected If not what mistakes I should , I avoid in further interviews?
Interviewer - (Smiling) Get accustomed with current IT trends bla bla.
Me - Okay, thank you mam.
Interviewer - Shook hands. Nice talking to you, thank you.
After 12 days result declared (selected).
