Infosys Interview Experience - LDRP- Gandhinagar pool campus
Around 1600 students are there.
The process directly started and there was a online test first and then after there was a pre-placement talk (strange?yes, it was. We were also amazed).
Let me first talk about the placement exam,
It was divided into two parts.
1st part consist of verbal and non verbal reasoning.
1) Syllogism (both 2 and 3 sentence).
2) Data Interpretation.
3) Odd man out from images.
4) Data Sufficiency.
This part consist of 35 questions of 30 minutes. It was quite easy, in fact too easy if you have appear for placement exams before.
2nd part was communicative english as there were 40 questions to be attempted in just 25 min (not sure but time was less as compared to questions).
Topics in this section were:
1) Comprehension (2) one was easy.
2) Theme detection.
3) Correcting the underline word.
4) Finding error and replacing with proper words from options.
If you are not good at english, it is better to start your preparation first for this part,
Indiabix. Com and are. S agrawal are more than enough. And in exam, attempt those comprehension at last as they are normally time consuming (I attempted at last in just 7 min :D).
In exam total around 1600 were appeared as I said before and around 250 are shortlisted for interview.
I am from VGEC (Vishwakarma Government Engineering College) and from our college they had shortlisted 58 candidates and I was one of them. Our interview was scheduled on very next day of the exam.
The reporting time was 8 a.m on 12th of june and we all were waiting for our turn, my turn came at around 1 pm.
Let me told you that the interview was depended on the panel there were around 8 panels, in some panel they were asking about technical knowledge, in some panel it was purely H.R, and in some case it was mixture of both H.R and technical.
In my case it was mixture.
I: May I come in sir?
H.R: yes come in.
I: Good afternoon sir.
H.R : Good noon take a seat.
I: Thank you sir.
H.R: So Pratham as I'm filling some formal details in form, you told me about yourself.
I: told him about my self. (I mentioned both technical interests and my hobbies in intro).
H.R: (after seeing my resume) so you are good at html5 and css?
I: yes sir.
H.R: Okay thats good and so as you said in your technical interest before your good at developing database driven web apps, tell me something about your final year project I am sure it would be related with db.
(my final year project was based on it and I was expecting that question and thats why I have included that particular interest).
I: Yes sir you're absolutely right, told him about my project.
H.R: Have you developed the you. I your self or use any template?
I: No sir it was from scratch.
(H.R ask me about my hobbies and write them down inside form he has).
(As I have mentioned android development in my resume as skills he ask me about that just core level but I was ready for it).
H.R: Okay then let me ask you some questions.
I: Okay sir.
H.R: You are ready for relocation?
I: Yes sir relocation is not a problem at all.
H.R: He smiles and ask me you are flexible? (he meant to say are you ready to work on multiple technologies?).
I: Yes sir as you have seen in my resume I have already worked with some different technologies I m ready to do the same in future.
H.R: Finally he told me that it was short but good one pratham (with smile) and stood up.
I: (stood up) thank you sir, nice to meet you.
H.R: Nice to meet you too.
And my interview ends (I was sure about my selection as I was +ve during interview I also appeared for TCS in september 2013 but was rejected from M. R I was damn sure at that time confidence was the cause for it and this time I was confident from beginning).
Be confident and be positive after all positivity is the key to success.
Results were declared on 14th june saturday night, and they have selected 36 out of 58 of our college. And I was one of them:).
No need to do hard preparation do it smartly.
Thanks to IndiaBix.com, it would not be possible without you guys. Thanks a lot :).
