Placement Papers - Infosys

Hi, there was a pool drive of infosys at JECRC-UDML at jaipur. Around 300 students appeared for the test from my college alone and out of the 65 were selected for pi. Final selection was 52 students.

After clearing the test you have high chances of being selected. We were called at 9 o\'clock in the morning and the interviews started at 9.30. Some panels were asking only HR. Questions while some were asking both tech + HR.. My interview was pure technical.

Sir: Have a seat. Had your lunch?
Me: Yes, sir.

Sir: Where?
Me: In the canteen.

Sir: Tell me about your projects?
Me: Told.

Sir: Tell me what have you learned in 4 year of your college life?
Me: Told him about team work etc. Etc.

Sir: Did you learn something in academics or not?
Me: Yes sir, told them about various computer languages and subjects.

Sir: Do you have any idea about dbms?
Me: Told definition of dbms.

Sir: What is dml, dcl, ddl?
Me: Answered.

Sir: Difference between truncate and delete statement if I give a commit command after delete.
Me: I answered but he was not satisfied. He argued with me. I said I m getting confused may be I have to look at it once again. He said ok.

Sir: Js pages are compiled or interpreted?
Me: Interpreted.

Sir: Java and c programs?
Me: Java is both interpreted and compiled, c is compiled. (he was impressed with the ans).

Sir: Do you have any idea about socket programming?
Me: I have heard about it, it is done in unix os. (he said ok even I don\'t know that).

Sir: Diff btw unix and window?
Me: Gave 2-3 points.

Sir: Do you have any question?
Me: Asked about the training.

Sir: Do you have any relocation problem?
Me: No.

At last I want to say that we should not lose hope as I was interviewed at the last after waiting for almost 12 hrs. Still I got selected : ).
