Hello everyone,
I am Sushma and Infosys visited our campus on 25th for written test. The test had two sections: Logical and verbal.
They had SECTIONAL CUTOFF.
The logical had:
1. Data Sufficiency.
2. Picture series.
3. Data interpretation.
4. Verbal reasoning.
It had 35 questions to be answered in 40 minutes. It wasn\'t so hard. But again, you need a lot of practice. Indiabix is great for that.
Then comes Verbal where you have to answer 40 questions in 30 minutes.
It has:
1. 2 paragraphs: don\'t read the whole thing, read questions and answer accordingly.
2. Filling blanks with appropriate sentence correction.
3. Ordering of sentences: You should really focus because it could be confusing.
4. Spotting errors.
5. Selecting words.
This section was reason for the elimination for many. So, pay attention.
In our campus, 360 students attempted written and 173 were qualified which were announced at the end of the day. Since my name starts with S, I had to wait patiently till the end.
We had interview on 27th and they said there was only one round.
Finally, at the end of the day, I was called for the interview. My HR was a young guy and very friendly.
Me: May I come in, sir?
Interviewer: Yes, yes, come in. Introduced himself and asked me to do the same.
Me: Did. (No matter how much I said he was still prompting me to go on which I did).
I: What is your greatest achievement so far?
Me: Told him about a paper presentation where I won with a friend.
I: How did you manage to share the work?
Me: told.
I: what were the challenges faced?
Me: Told him about a scholarship.
I: No, I am asking you about the challenges faced during the presentation time.
Me: Oh, pardon me. (Explained about some random things).
I: Any projects you did during internships?
Me: told.
I: Asked loads of questions on the project.
Me: told.
I: So Sushma, you seem to have a very good knowledge in your stream (Chemical), why do you want to work with infosys?
Me: Made something up.
I: All right, are you flexible?
Me: Yes (always).
I: Are you ready to relocate?
Me: yes sir.
I: Well then, good luck.
Me: Thank you sir, pleasure to meet you.
Left the room.
Finally in the evening at around 8, they announced the names and I was one among the 148 they selected.
Just remember to keep smiling, be confident and look natural. Even though I did not have technical, many people were asked questions on C, so be prepared.
GOOD LUCK.
