Placement Papers - Infosys

Hello everyone,

I attended the Infosys on campus placement drive in my college i.e. M.S.I.T. (IP University) recently.

Would like to share my experience with you people.

Firstly, the general pattern of Infosys is as follows (No -ve marking) :

1) Written test (CAT)-computer based test.

-> Aptitude Test (30 Questions and 40 min).
-> Verbal Ability (40 Questions and 35 min).

Aptitude test included the following types of problems:

1. Data sufficiency - (5 Q).
2. Cube Problems - (5 Q).
3. Pattern -(5 Q).
4. Syllogism -(5 Q).
5. 2 puzzles -(5 Q each).

So these were the questions that appeared in our written test.All you need is practice and practice FOR CRACKING THIS SECTION.
Then comes the verbal ability.

1. 2 passages.
2. Identify the theme.
3. Correction of sentences etc..

The advice which I would give to you people for attempting this section would be that avoid reading whole of the passages. Since they are quite lengthy and time consuming. And generally one of the two passages is simple so attempt that one first.

Time management and practice is what you need to do to crack the written part.

Talking about the interview part. I had a techno-hr interview.

Some of the questions that were asked from me were as follows:

1) Introduce yourself-(Generally asked)?
2) Projects which I did during my curriculum.(Have in depth knowledge about them).
3) What are the main oops concepts.
4) SDLC models.
5) Rate yourself in java on the scale of 10.
6) Why infosys?
7) Family background.
8) Are you willing to relocate? (Always reply yes).
9) Will you be willing to work with a technology other than you know?
10) Any questions for me? (Always ask something,it shows that you are actually interested in their company).

Out of 380 students 170 made it to Infosys and I was one of them.
