Hi Friends
I am ASHISH JAIN from lucknow. We had an open campus for infosys in united college of engg. & research on 29th March 2007. Nearly 1200 students sit in the written exam from different colleges. We had ppt in the morning followed by aptitude test consisted of :
Before test started we were asked to fill up a form in which you are supposed to fill personal details. IT WILLL TAKE 30 MIN .....
1. Reasoning : 30 Ques - 40 mins
Puzzles, reasoning..
Puzzles were easy
2. English : 40 Ques - 30 mins
this was the most difficult English paper 4 me .. containing long passages & ques based on it.... but i h\'ve done it 1 min before the time....
Two passages-10 ques
Correcting sentences(Grammar)-10 ques
Fill in the blanks(Grammar) -10 ques
5 Ques were on reading ability you have analyse passages.
5 Other ques on grammar only.
Any good grammar book(e.g. Wren and Martin. barron ) can be reffered.
Our results of aptitude were declared at about 6:00 p.m.,nearly 180 students had cleared it, then we were called for h.r. interview.
H.R.INTERVIEW:
It was a cool interview, started at 7:00 pm, a sir took my interview he asked me about me,, family, school, my hobbies. he asked me abt the infosys tht why do u wanna joi infosys? & he asked me to explain wht i know abt infosys..... he asked me abt statement of infosys....tht is "POWERED BY INTELLECT DRIVEN BY VALUES"
Then he gave me a passage, it was abt an office which has 6 members some of them r smokers n mr. green has allergy frm tobacco .....n mr.parker n mr. allen have\' adjacent room .......smthng like tht....it contains 5 ques. tht i have to solve in hr immediately but throughout the hr interview he was very frndly.......
Finally results were declared at 2 p.m and I was selected, I was even more happy to see that 2 students were selected from my college. Finally I would like to thank our college for providing us this oppurtunity. In the end I would just say that never give up, keep on trying, have faith in god and one day you will get success.
