A boy asked his sister that "how many chocolates are with you now out of what I gave you yesterday". she replied him in confusing way "I gave half of those to mom and half more to dad. then, from remaining chocolates, I gave half of those and another half of a chocolate to our pet dog. after that, one chocolate was remaining and I ate that gracefully." how many chocolates did the boy give to his sister?[3m]

Ans: 7

3. A man spent 1/6th  of his age in childhood,1/12th of his age as youth,1/7th of his age in his first job,5 years he spent as bachelor. a son born for him who died 4 years later at the age of half of his father's present age. find the man's present age.[6m I think]

Ans: 84

Sol: let the man's present age is X.
He had a son at the age of X [1/6+1/12+1/7] +5
The boy died at the man's age of X-4 and the boy's age of X/2.
So, X-4-[X [1/6+1/12+1/7] +5] =X/2.
solve for X.

4. A company produces a product in two forms: liquid and solid. they can be used separately or in a mixed form. Consumer survey of that product results as

1/3rd people told that they use in liquid form.
2/7th  people told that they use in solid form.
437 people told that they use in mixed form
1/5th  people told that they won't use that product.
Calculate how many consumers participated in survey.[6m I think]

Ans: 2415

Sol: Let the no.of consumers surveyed is X.
X[1/3+2/7+1/5]+437=X
Solve for X.

6.a round log which weighs 30 kg is given. if its thickness is made to be twice, and as twice as short, how much it weighs now?

7.Some man is going to some place. after traveling for 2 hrs,his car got punctured. his driver took 10 minutes to change the tyre.for safety, he drove the car with the speed of 30mph.they were late by half an hr.the driver told that if the problem had occurred after traveling 30 miles, they would have come late only by 20 minutes. Calculate the distance traveled on the whole.

8.4 cards are placed on a table, each card has two colors. Nobody knows the color of the back side of eachcard.4 persons A B C and D are sitting on the table before the cards. They can see Red, Green Red and blue .Out of the 4 people 2 always lie. They see the color on the reverse side and give the following comment.

       A: Yellow/green

       B: Neither Blue/nor Green

       C: Blue/Yellow

       D: Blue/ Yellow

Find out the color on the other side of the 4 cards.

Sol: if A is assumed to be true, B is false.so, C is also false. It means that B did the task.
