INFOSYS paper held on 18 jan 2004 at hyd (morning batch)
1) There are 15 poles at equal distance beside the railway track. If a train moves from 1st pole to 10th pole in 10 minutes . How much time it will take to touch 15th pole.
2) A thief tries to escape from jail in five different ways
a) Disguising in dress of a visitor
b) By making a tunnel
c) by killing the police
d) By joining the party(function)and escape with group
e) I don\'t remember this condition
from Monday to friday . asked to find on which day he tries in which manner. The following conditions were given
a) He tries to escape by disguising in the form of visitor two days before trying to escape by making a tunnel.
b) On immediate day after making tunnel he tries by killing the police.
c) He tried to escape by joining the party one day after e)condition
d) and one more condition was given

3)There is a cube with all faces painted red. If we cut in into 27 pieces with six straight cuts. How many cubes will be there with
a) 3 sides painted red
b) 2 sides painted red
c) 1 sides painted red
d) 0 sides painted red.
4)A man jumps into a river from a overbridge ,at the same time a hat drops in the river which flows with the stream of the water. That man travels 10 minute upstream and returns back where he was asked to catch the hat. He catches hat at a distance of 1000 yard down at a second bridge . Find the speed of the river.(some different wording was given)
5)In a shelf there was 17 blue, 15 red ,10 yellow , 15 black, 20 green ties. Suddenly lights were put off . he decided to take the ties in darkness.what are the minimum of number of ties that are to be taken from shelf so that he gets the at least two ties of same colour.
6)There was some question on buying hats and dress by aunt and uncle(but it was easy).
7)Given names of 6 people and given 10 conditions from that we have to get the ages of those people and places they live (It can be thought as a bonus problem as it was very easy for 10 marks).
8)two trains of length 1/6 miles are moving toward each other with a speed of 60 miles per hour.aproaching toward each other .In how much time the two locomotives cross each other.
9) a train after running for one hour blasted balloon(something I don\'t know exact word)after one hour starting from the station and runs with 3/5th of its original speed and reaches the destination two hour late. If the blast has occurred after more 50 miles if accident has occured it might reached the destination 40 minute earlier. Determine the distance starting station to the destination.
Above problems and conditions were those which I remember they may be something different from original and some ( almost correct) of conditions may be wrong so don\'t try these problems for answers. Iam giving this paper for u to just know the type of Questions they r giving
